It would, but, they did it already Thursday. I doubt they made this move just a day or two ago in the middle of practice days.

Agreed.  But, that could be the 'competitive advantage' thing they love so much.   But, after this announcement, there's no more cloak and dagger stuff.

F their pay wall.  Will never pay for that trash.

You call Lurie cheap but you won't pay for content? Pot meet kettle.

I never screamed about change or firing anyone besides Aaron Moorhead, so I’ll maintain my stance that this isn’t a good thing for a SB contender.

Theres also the whole "if you start listening to the fans, you’ll be sitting up there with them”.

He honestly deserves it. Aj brown was already great when he got here. And smith was a heisman trophy winner. Everyone else he’s done nothing with and the eagles still have issues with OPI and in general consistent effort in run blocking from them

It doesn’t scream panic to me. It shows that they’re concerned and want do something differently.

Their performance Monday night will determine which way the narrative goes.

The fact it’s been 4 years and we still can’t run a pick play is mind blowing

How can the chiefs RT hold literally every single play and never get called for it. The only time he actually blocks is on screens when he's not actually trying to block

Now we know why Slay opted to have his knee operated on. He was probably playing through an injury, but has no interest in doing so for Patricia. So, he decides to just do it now and miss a bunch of weeks.

Whichever way it goes Morgan Freeman should narrate.

Amazing chiefs just ran one and toney should’ve been called for the OPI lol

Honestly his biggest accomplishment is he didn’t screw up smith and aj.  quez has gotten worse each year. Feels like outside of smith, there’s like no development of our WRs.

Recent studies show that nose picking causes dementia... we're all doomed.

oh i don’t disagree with you on those points. Their organizational philosophy on defense is hurting them. And their lack of personnel is as well. I don’t think Patricia is fixing the issues when they get to teams like Sf and Dallas. I think they’ll still show up cause their personnel is the bigger issue along with wanting to run a fangio type system.

I'd take more than 2 stops all game from the defense in those matchups.   Maybe get 3 or 4 stops and the offense stands a fighter's chance.

I hope Carolina wins. So Arthur smith can be canned for malpractice in how he misused every weapon he has on offense.

I think they are going to score 30+ and i think you likely getting more of the same where it’s like 2 stops. Their personnel is a nightmare against those two teams. Frankly Dallas game defense was fine second half. Heck they outscored the offense 7-6. Not saying they played well at all. Just how bad the offense was

The story behind the story: why the heck are we aware of any of this?  It's well known that the Eagles are one of the NFL's more secretive teams and treat their operations like the CIA sending a black ops team into Beijing.

Does anyone think Lurie/Howie/Siri wants us to know that the DC responsibilities are rapidly shifting?

From everything I’ve read so far, seems as if it’s going to almost be some sort of "co-defensive” coordinator situation.  Patricia on the field, calling the plays with DeSai up in the booth; adjusting schemes, etc.

Anyone aware of any precedent of a DC not calling the D and communicating with the green dot?

Falcons lose to the panthers lol

Methinks Arthur Smith's days are numbered.

We’re never going to be able to keep this under wraps for the another 4 or more weeks til the season ended. Doug had stuff leaking out in October the last year he was here.

Eh think that is more your hope. People said same thing with josh mcdaniels until he got back to where he wanted and basically was the same.

Yes, that’s entirely possible.  It goes either way though.  At least we’ve seen Patricia and the D interacting well together (though small sample size).

Besides it being the HC calling the plays, I can’t think of anything.

Good he deserves to also be fired. He misuses his talent every week. It’s ridiculous how they’ve spent 3 too 10 picks on bijan, London and pitts and he can’t seem to figure it out.
