Yes, that’s entirely possible.  It goes either way though.  At least we’ve seen Patricia and the D interacting well together (though small sample size).

Patricia and Slay are off to a good start.

I hope Carolina wins. So Arthur smith can be canned for malpractice in how he misused every weapon he has on offense.

Talent only goes so far with Ridder as your starting QB…but his days should be numbered either way.

They started off the season in TC quite well with each other.  I’m not so sure that it’s mutually linked with this decision.  Then again ive been in the dark most of this week in keeping up with the drama.

You call Lurie cheap but you won't pay for content? Pot meet kettle.

I pay for content but the inquirer is such a trash publication at this point I would never pay for it.

ridder isn’t good. but there’s bigger issues then just Ridder. They don’t target pitts at all. Hes an afterthought and has been since drafting him. He occasionally gets a game and bijan gets 7 carries today against one of the poorer run defenses. He’s done a pretty bad job incorporating/maximizing his talent.

Flacco playing for the browns… does this count as you either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

The story behind the story: why the heck are we aware of any of this?  It's well known that the Eagles are one of the NFL's more secretive teams and treat their operations like the CIA sending a black ops team into Beijing.

Does anyone think Lurie/Howie/Siri wants us to know that the DC responsibilities are rapidly shifting?

What happens when they see Desai in the booth not calling plays?

It's taken me this long to realize that Case Keenum is not only still in the NFL but he started for Houston today.

Elite Flacco still in the league too… lol

I think they are going to score 30+ and i think you likely getting more of the same where it’s like 2 stops. Their personnel is a nightmare against those two teams. Frankly Dallas game defense was fine second half. Heck they outscored the offense 7-6. Not saying they played well at all. Just how bad the offense was

Have I said anything to support the offense?   They have been bad too and need to be better, especially in the first half.

Not a fan of 'whataboutism'.   The defense has been horrid and they had someone in house that could be moved into the DC position with experience.  There's no one on the offensive side (outside of Sirianni) that they could turn the playcalling over to.  Sadly, going into this season, we all knew that the OC and DC being so new to their respective roles was a potential Achilles' heel.   The hope was that they could find their way, muddling through the early part of the season and get their bearings in time for the stretch run.  And what we see is what we all feared (at least those that are honest about things).   They both seem overmatched currently.  One day they might grow into their respective roles, but it was a bit of hubris by this organization to just roll with not one, but TWO green coordinators in a season that was basically Super Bowl or bust.    If this was a team that was supposedly 'ascending' then this entire conversation is completely different.   We'd be talking about this completely differently.

But, next year, Kelce is likely gone.  Cox is likely gone.  Graham is likely gone.  Slay and Bradberry likely should be gone, but are likely back due to their contracts.  Johnson, may or may not, be gone.  Who knows if he might decide to walk away for two reasons, 1 - while he still can walk away and 2 - with Kelce.

Who are the 'leaders' to step into the voids left by this leadership group?   And more importantly, who are the PLAYERS that are going to step into those voids?   PLUS, we have the voids that are currently on the defensive side already.    And they need to fill these voids without adding free agents, because they likely will have almost nothing to spend on big name free agents.

This was a big year.  And they rolled the dice on the 'kids' at coordinator growing into the job and getting it done.   There's still time for things to right themselves, and it would be an awesome story if they figure it out.   But, it feels like this is going to end in heartbreak.

1 OT game with another possible

Edmunds sacked mills at the end of the 4th.

Let's go Browns! Free Eberflus.

Meanwhile, Browns look to be ready to win the game over the Bears at the final gun.

Hopefully the Browns get the win, and Eberflus ends up available next year.   Gotta hope.

I’ve watched very little of Atlanta since he’s gotten there…so I’m mainly looking at paper and make gross generalizations based of what I’ve actually seen.  They’re in theory in the ‘hunt’ for the division.  Idk what to chalk up to RIdder just not being able to do anything a QB should or if it’s misuse.  I can understand not running a top 10 pick RB into the ground in a season that needs a miracle to get to the playoffs.  I’d love to see if they aren’t targeting Pitts or if Ridder is that bad.  Also, I see Pitts as a rich man’s Funchess of yesteryear.  He’s really not a TE and he’s not a WR.  Either way, Smith should be gone after this season.

Levis got bailed out big time

Baker was amazing today.  Much like his early Browns days, kids talented.  Pity he hasn’t been on a competent team with a competent coaching staff his entire career and he’s spoiled milk at this point.  On the flip side, i see very little upside in Love.  He looks great throwing screens and to his check down.  Besides that he has terrible command of the pocket and loves to back pedal more the Kevin Kolb did and throw off his back foot.

Barnett got a sack lol

derek barnett with a sack LOL

Browns nearly in FG range after 1 play.

Why do you hope he’s available?

Flacco could’ve made the Jets a playoff contender. Curious why he wasn’t signed until now he’s playing good football.

Just realized after I posted this that he has 3 picks today but he’s light years better than Zach Wilson.

Where did i say you did on offense? Again making an obvious statement the offense was just worse against Dallas than the defense. That doesn’t mean you did. just a obvious statement of events

you can keep writing these long  responses but i never said i disagreed with you on making the switch. Only thing i said was they weren’t nearly as bad before the bye and had decent games/competent game plans. And that i don’t think Patricia is going to have much better success against the better teams cauee of personnel issues.

Can respond and say what you need, but i don’t see Patricia having much more success that puts the eagles over the top if they run into offenses like Dallas or SF. Frankly i don’t think they get more than potentially 3 stops if both get 9 possessions cause i think their personnel is a horrific mismatch against those opponents.
