But how does he hold up? Just stop and let Pittman make a catch? That defeats the purpose of playing defense. He was flying to the same area that Pittman was and they arrived at the same time. They flags came in fast and with force because Pittman folded in half. I'm a firm believer that refs now throw flags just at the sight of a big hit with no thought of the intent. Kazee is a repeat offender. He needs to play smarter but in this case, I just can't see much else he can do.

Pittman was reaching for the ball to make the catch, so it was away from his body enough that Kazee could've tried to punch or knock it loose with his hand rather than leading with his shoulder. I'm sure it's not easy for him to relearn how to play the position in that manner from a technique perspective, but his track record has pretty much left him with almost no margin for error.

Eagles' Big Dom banned from sideline for rest of regular season

#FreeBigDom

I feel for Jalen trying to play tonight.  RSV has been going around and it's a MFer.  Hacking cough that just won't go away for a couple of weeks.  That said, ever since Michael Jordan, every time someone mentions "flulike symptoms" people say HE'S GONNA GO OFF TONIGHT!!

Yeah, it's COVID

Pittman is in an all out dive at full speed and Kazee was in a full sprint at the exact same area. I look at it as he was ducking his head so he didn't have Pittman dive right at his crotch and knees. I look at it as he was balling up to take the impact from Pittman just as much as he was trying to make a play.

I just think with slow motion it makes it so easy for anyone to pick a play apart and say look at what he did! I thought the hit on Dak when he half slid and took a helmet to the face last night was much worse than the Kazee play.

Yeah, COVID is the only likely conclusion given the isolation

This young Flyers team is actually fun to watch.

That Kazee hit was one of the cheapest shots I have ever seen. He launched himself head first at a defenseless WR who was diving head first in an attempt to make a catch. Intent really means nothing because at the end of the day he made helmet to helmet contact while launching himself at  receiver who never saw it coming. He also doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt based on his history. I hate the way big hits have been taken out of the game but this is NOT an example of that. Suspending him for the rest of the year was probably a bit harsh but a suspension was absolutely the right decision and there is no excuse or justification for that hit.

I assumed we'd be getting another top 5 pick coming into this year.  With Gauthier, Michkov, cap space, coming hopefully soon they could be a team to be reckoned with soon

Going to my first Flyers game ever in a few weeks.

What do they do at goalie? They have 2 legit starters and VERY good starters. Is one of them eventually trade bait for some talent?

I'm not saying it was a good hit at all, but I think it was an unavoidable hit. I don't see him launching at all. He lowers his head yes, but I look at it almost as a protection of himself.

Agree for the most part, but that was an egregious hospital ball from Minshew

Yeah, I think people forgot how bad his "picket fence" defense was on third downs in his last couple seasons here.

Now we know why Slay opted to have his knee operated on. He was probably playing through an injury, but has no interest in doing so for Patricia. So, he decides to just do it now and miss a bunch of weeks.

That seems like a stretch. I also don’t think it will take weeks to come back.

My question is isn’t Patricia more of a 3-4 guy?

We all mock Rodgers....as we should...but give him a call? He'd have been playing Saturday.

Sounds like Covid and honestly if he has anything like the flu he just put the whole staff of that airplane at risk.

Stay away from the team imo

I don't see it that way at all. If Kazee was trying to avoid contact to "protect himself" there are far better ways to do it than tucking his head like that and leading with his shoulder. That might be the case if Pittman had caught the ball and had already tucked it back into this body, thereby leaving no option for Kazee to even make a play on it, but that clearly wasn't the case. The ball was out there for him to attempt to knock it away and he doesn't even see it because he's locked into delivering a blow to Pittman. This is his issue, he gets tunnel vision in these circumstances and only sees the player, not the ball.

Goalies are making stops. Defense is killing scoring opps.  Need a bit more offense. Of course, need more games to see if the young guys improve or fall to earth.  If the current arc continues they move from fair/good to good/pretty damn good and we play on.

Hockey live is the absolute single best upgrade when going from TV to live, of any sport, IMO.  Not even close to close, except maybe baseball for the smell, sounds and pace of the event.

And the venues really make it fun with the giveaways, mascots, kiss cam stuff, music and all sorts of loopy ish happening.  At least out here at Crypto Center (Staples).

Honestly, who gives a F? Of all the things going on with this team, this has to be at the absolute bottom of the list. He's not doing anything that is a factor in the team's performance on the field anyway. I'm just tired of hearing about it.

This day is like the day the earth stood still.  The game is so many hours away.   So, so many.

Hurts will know how he's feeling and I'd imagine have the right sort of medical supplements available to get him through the game, should he choose.  It all depends on the level of risk...

It could be the right time to break the glass on Penny and actually use him.

Are you suggesting he makes a play on the ball and not even Pittman? I was thinking that too but even if he makes a play on the ball Pittman is in an all out dive right at him. The biggest issue here is a hospital ball from Minshew. Never want to discredit a WR for going all out to make a catch but doing so opened Pittman up to a dangerous hit. I would have loved to see DeVonta lay out like that last week on that Hurts deep ball. Could have had that TD.

They don't know what's going on with Hurts. Just speculating at this point. What source gave them all of this info?

Kazee made no attempt to arm wrap and he's always been that same player since he's been in the NFL. He's dirty in the same way Kareem Jackson is.
