"MVP" looks pedestrian once again

All the QBs do. CMac is as deserving as any of them.

In the second half they need to at least double the screens to Goedert/Julio.

Just sign ertz. He’s better than Calcaterra anyway. And he at least gives you more than Stoll as a receiver if you go 12 personnel. However I’m guessing teams will pick up on tendencies if using him and when we use Stoll

You didn't see that studly block by Stoll on the QB sweep that got us 1 yard with the QB sliding early before running out of bounds?

Stoll!

I’m thinking about this more from a long term perspective, you probably have to start thinking about Goedert’s eventual replacement unless he plays as long as Kelce has

Oh, I don’t disagree. I said they should be looking to get a better backup tight end for the long term. First off, Dallas Goedert misses at least 4 games almost every single year. So when he goes out, you basically have nothing behind him in terms of being a threat. Like you saw the ravens last night. Isaiah likely was a late fourth round pick. He’s competent out there. It’s not a one dimensional or useless player out there. Everyone behind aj, smith and goedert at tight end and WR are JAGs besides made Oz who’s really best suited for a 4th wr role

Been a huge Hurts defender but I’m about done with him.  His knee hurts, he has Covid, etc.  Tired of the excuses - be better.

Oh hey David Carr welcome to the EMB and TATE!

We’re leading, but again, this team doesn’t play complimentary football. Defense is doing their part, but the offense is not capitalizing to build a bigger lead. These play calls on O are just not creating much. Same old predicable stuff.

For all the heat the D has received, it would be an emotional lift if they were able to keep up the solid play.

I've been really annoying the last few drafts about getting a TE2 because of the depth and talent available. It's been a huge need. You can't depend on Goedert for a full season and when he's out the O suffers.

Maybe we should be scoring more than 35 points on offense in the last 10 quarters. And that includes a garbage time td vs. sf.

3.5 pts a quarter! That’s like 2 TDs a game.  Better than I thought.

This past draft would have been the right draft to do it, best TE class in a long time.

Brevyn Spann-Ford, TE, Minnesota

6'7" 250

Think he's gonna be a baller at the next level. Probably a RD3 grade on him going into the offseason.

Well I’d like to give Jalen Hirts and the offense the benefit of the doubt but they looked like this all season.

As for the defense they look OK don’t know how much affect changing coordinators had to do with anything.

I was at a horrific girls basketball game and missed most of the 1st quarter. I am now caught up.

1st drive ending in TD hid issues. Running the ball hid issues. Reality they faced a few 3rd and longs on the drive, and it still. felt. difficult. At least they got 7 but that tortures me. We never have an easy drive anymore. Ever. Pretty much all season long.

Also overlooked were the innacuracy of the screen passes. People complained about the calls, but not the throws. That makes it harder for the play to be successful. How can you not make such an easy throw?

D looking good. Gave up a 3rd and long with Reddick way down the field in coverage. It was a blitz and not a single player got close. Later on, people were asking for us to blitz... I guess it could help to blitz if you also still rush your best pass rusher as well.

4th and 4. A penalty gives Seattle a 1st down. You know they are going to try to draw you offsides. Cox jumps. WTF. So lucky Seattle didnt move to get the flag thrown.

Jobe called for PI. Everyone complained. Nobody cared about all the contact from DK prior to that. When he was mugged so bad Im not sure how else he can possibly stay in the play. His grab was pretty minor. What DK did to him was not.

All in all, we are seeing each of the CBs showing they can stick with their man, in man coverage. Roby, Jobe, Ricks... all we should have been doing all year. Man to man.

There are some good changes to this D, that are minor but make a big difference.

Offense has to be better.

Get back to running it. And Hurts needs to try throwing accurately.

I definitely think Johnson gets spun up and abandons the run for no reason.  Look at that last 2 minute, there were 2 possessions for each team.  No need to get hurried up

They got a nice completion... but the penalty stopped the clock.   They needed to run some clock on the next play, whether it was a run or an easy pass over the middle.   And shorten the distance to getting Elliott lined up for a kick.   But, they got fancy and they threw everything to the boundary.   They didn't need to do that.  They had over a minute and a half... plenty of time to work the middle of the field and get into FG range at least.    But, he's just not a good coordinator.   Maybe some day... but not today, and not any game day so far this season.

Can't wait for Brian Johnson to be sitting with Desai

I thought this for a while, he has a reputation that he’s a good run blocker. But it feels like every time they run a play that goes to his side it  it gets blown up or it doesn’t go for as much because he doesn’t get a good enough block down. At what point is it that his reputation of being a good blocker isn’t as true as they make it you want to believe .

Yeah I think whether it’s a WR/TE/RB Eagles should look at adding a new young pass catcher in the draft to start developing. I think you and I talked about it but I really wanted Reed this past draft who’s on the Packers now

Just that quick rundown shows everything.

This offense can't continue to be that bad.  Everyone else in the NFC is putting up 25+

So we give the Defense a standing ovation before the Giants game starts next week?

The thing is, now there are needs across the board on defense and they might have limited picks. Not that you want to draft for need, but it's imperative they fill this defense with young talent across the back 7 and DE.

Nice I’ve missed our bad tackling this game!

Reddick has been abysmal

Fantastic tackling.

C observations- if you’re going to make read all of that do better
