Nah.  It's not the new guys.

It's the QB and DL.   They are sooooo far away from last year's performances.

It’s upsetting they made the playoffs because there is a 100% chance they lose by the second round

QB contracts are going to handcuff teams from here on out. This team can't draft on defense and they aren't going to have the cap to fill the holes in FA because of that huge contract. They should have learned their lesson with Wentz.

Mahomes is the only QB in the NFL who has proven he can compete on a $50m deal…and this year isn’t going so hot for even him with how awful his weapons are.

Hurts is proving that he can’t…and he’s still got the elite weapons.

It’s going to get even worse when they are handcuffed from adding to the offense later in Hurts’ deal.

Daniel Jones sucks and the Giants rightfully took a ton of heat…but that’s the right contract for a QB.  Hurts should be on a Daniel Jones type contract and this team would be in great shape.  But he’s getting Mahomes money and he’s just not worth it.

It's not just Hurts.  Johnson has no feel for the game and just dials up random play calls. He is in way over his head.

Johnson is also making crappy decisions.   I saw the drives at the end of both halves.   They don't know how to use the middle of the field to move the chains.  They had plenty of time both times... and instead of that, they went to the edges where the throws are way harder.    Throw over the middle before the half and you have all kinds of time to get into FG range.  But they didn't... TWICE.  And they had tons of time at the very end to get the ball in place for a game tying FG.   

 

It almost seems like Johnson is designing the offense to throw to the boundary to give space in the middle for Hurts to be able to run... but teams won't let him run up the middle, so he bails to the sides and it isn't going well.

First game of the season as well. The pats had 1st and 10 at the eagles 20. Got lucky coz of Mac Jones.

Worst part that will come out from this is half the offense will be sick by Christmas next week.

Where did Goedert go??

This offense is terrible and Hurts isn't good enough to bail it out.  He's lost his confidence and he can't move like he wants to.

That combination has destroyed the offense

Quez is not and has never been a beast.   He is a speed merchant.  If he can go untouched, he can make a play... if he gets touched, he crumbles like a house of cards, in fact, he runs in fear of being touched, which is why he's not a weapon to use like you are suggesting.

Slay is fine. Bradberry though is a big swing and a miss. Easy off-season cut.

This is shaping up to be a worse collapse than the Vikings last year. Being a Philly fan was so much fun in October before the Phillies collapsed. Then it was onto the Eagles, they’ll carry the city. Ouch.

Sydney Brown didn’t look good tonight but at least he played aggressive and confident. I’m not ready to string up a rookie that at least showed heart. 

Bradberry sucks. Byard hasn’t done $hit. The D-Line isn’t playing lights out like they should.
