Johnson is also making crappy decisions.   I saw the drives at the end of both halves.   They don't know how to use the middle of the field to move the chains.  They had plenty of time both times... and instead of that, they went to the edges where the throws are way harder.    Throw over the middle before the half and you have all kinds of time to get into FG range.  But they didn't... TWICE.  And they had tons of time at the very end to get the ball in place for a game tying FG.

It almost seems like Johnson is designing the offense to throw to the boundary to give space in the middle for Hurts to be able to run... but teams won't let him run up the middle, so he bails to the sides and it isn't going well.

Hurts is reading the field and choosing where to throw the ball.

Sydney Brown didn’t look good tonight but at least he played aggressive and confident. I’m not ready to string up a rookie that at least showed heart.

Bradberry sucks. Byard hasn’t done $hit. The D-Line isn’t playing lights out like they should.

Blaming a rookie safety is just weak.

And I’ll fight you over it. Tell me where you want to meet

Browns aggressiveness is part of why they lost. He got over late on that DK catch. Meanwhile the other team is picking it in a similar scenario

Hurts hasn’t been in the MVP conversation for about a month now. And even when he was, it was for about a 4-5 game stretch all season.

He didn’t have 200 yards passing yet again. If it wasn’t for the rushing stats he’d a been benched by now.

I thought Patricia called a logical, coherent game.

It probably looks that way because we played Drew Lock. And then with the game on the line we let them march 92 yards and didn’t give Bradberry any safety help.

He sucks.

I can’t believe I forgot to mention how crappy the pass rush was.

Defensive line coach, I watch replays over and over during the game and guys like Reddick are trying to bull rush and swatting hands. We don’t stunt, guys don’t use the spin move, stutter step, nothing.

At least I got free pizza at the bar I went to. Now I got bad gas though

We should have won this game by double digits. Not a joke. Legitimately.

Now everyone is going to panic. Just a brutal loss.

Yes, they SHOULD have.  But they didn't, for a variety of reasons.   Lots of horrific decisions made across the board and horrific tackling.

Everyone should panic, because they are on a THREE game losing streak and frankly, were only in one of those, and in that one, against a backup QB... they were just embarrassed again on National TV.

Eagles would lose to a team of these.

He sucks.

His biggest mistake was not benching Bradberry for Ringo or Ricks/Jobe.

Nick how do you fix this?

Nick: You get up and fix it.

That's some Kamala Harris talk there.

The team already panicked when they fired a struggling DC for a proven clown at DC.

Patricia did alright tonight.

He called a better game than Desai, that's for damn sure.  If only we could tackle, catch interceptions, or win a few passrushing reps

It’s going to be quite the week in Philly. Locker room is going to fall apart, there will be at least someone fired, and the microscope will be put on Hurts’ contract.

BJ has to be the one who’s fired. Sirianni shouldn’t sit too comfortably either. He’s gone after next season if this doesn’t turn around.

Tonight? I’m not sure you have to go that far down the line. He must have had Kenneth Walker on his fantasy team.

he may just end up busting because tackling is so poor. But Id really love to see him as a single high safety if we ever go back to running that kind of defense all the time.

His speed is ridiculous. As an example, he missed a tackle on Walker (who runs a 4.3), and then still chased him down and caught him from behind after Walker ended up with like a 4 yard head start while Sydney recovered from missing the tackle.

We have seen how he uses his speed to range in coverage. Theres major potential there as an incredible center field safety.

One thing is for sure, weeks ago it didnt seem that crazy to wish he could get on the field as an LB since they sucked and he looked promising and is built thick. Now we know, hes not a box safety/LB.

Also, tackling issues can be fixed. Hes not soft. That cant be fixed. He has poor technique. Technique, with his willingness can be fixed.

It's the same offense from last year, you know, when the plays worked for him.

Teams are playing more deep coverage this season, but Hurts can't stop throwing the deep ball.

The offense looked great when the took their time with 10+ play drives.

It’s not the same, the run game is what helps make Hurts successful. The run game has been awful the second half of this season and Hurts isn’t as much of a threat to run. Too many straight drop backs (from the gun) and expecting him to read and find an open receiver. That’s not his strength, he needs receivers schemed open for him on quick reads. Also, it gets talked about every week but nothing has changed, why aren’t they motioning more to help him with his reads?

The defense i already knew had crap personnel. It’s the issue. DC wasn’t good but their personnel on that side of the ball is garbage.  their DL is overrated and overpaid. Linebackers are bad and slow. Bradberry and byard are old, slow and declining. Brown is a rookie and goes for big hits and takes bad angles. Their defense lost their top 5 tacklers and then significantly downgraded at every unit on defense. Changing to Patricia was never solving the eagles bigger issue which is personnel. Gave up 17 points to a backup Qb in the second half and couldn’t get off the field when they needed too. ITS YOUR PERSONNEL

That said offense is a way bigger concern right now. You have all the tools to make it not this dysfunctionally bad. Hurts is absolutely lost, not reading the field. Just throwing the ball down field and making horrific decisions. He’s regressed to what turnover machine carson wentz became. That’s the reality. He’s Carson wentz with better talent around him to make up for some of his idiotic mistakes this year. Literally he’s the catalyst in every loss and it always starts with bad turnovers. Jets 3 ints, fumble vs. Dallas and then the pick to Quez. Then he doesn’t read the field. Wide open receivers and he locks on to one guy and throws it away. And he’s bailing on pockets again.

doesn’t help Brian Johnson and sirianni are Fing clueless about situational football. Up 4 and moving the ball well you don’t need a dumb ass deep shot. Additionally there’s no creativity in this offense. You’ve essentially become what Doug and the eagles did after they won the 2017 Super Bowl. The league knows you run a generic offense and it is easy to defend. Add on you refuse to fix your running game. Your Qb is on pace for 21+ turnovers and instead of helping him you just keep throwing 31 times and have him running 13 times.

your depth behind 3 pass catchers is atrocious. I’m not sure quez, julio, Stoll, Calcaterra are even on another teams roster if they were cut. They are JAGs. And moorehead somehow keeps surviving when he steals a paycheck coaching these WRs behind aj and smith who are atrocious.

Oline has also been a shell of itself in the run game nearly all season since minnesota. Half the time their run blocking is god awful where guys don’t block their assignment or just whiff. Other half they look competent.

455 play action passing yards for Hurts.

380 passing yards from RPO

1094 & 1068 last year.

1/2 and 1/3. We’re not looking to play at our offense’s strengths at all

I guess the excuse this week will be "well he was sick and he played through it”

Gotta fix the stuff!

That’s what is so goddamn maddening (to me, at least).

When they call a balanced drive, there’s success. But for some reason, on the next drive, they are calling deep shots to Watkins like he’s a Make-A-Wish kid living out a dream.

The methodical ten-play drives are this team's bread and butter. I have no idea why we can’t just stick with what works.

The only time you throw to Quez down field like that is if he's absolutely 10 yards wide open in a busted coverage.

Just a reminder...Dallas losing the Miami really doesn't help.  Losing to Detroit would, but they are playing at home, so doubtful.

We need to beat a couple teams that are even worse than us.

All three games will be or feel like home games.

When we’re losing and you look back at his antics coupled with how he’s handling these losses it’s becoming unbearable.

No they won't

You don’t even throw it to him then because he’ll fall down or fumble it. Guys trash and shouldn’t be on the field.
