Yes, they SHOULD have.  But they didn't, for a variety of reasons.   Lots of horrific decisions made across the board and horrific tackling.

Everyone should panic, because they are on a THREE game losing streak and frankly, were only in one of those, and in that one, against a backup QB... they were just embarrassed again on National TV.

Yep.  And let’s face it, half their wins this year were due to a lot of luck and other teams choking  against us.   This team really isn’t that good this year.

It’s not the same, the run game is what helps make Hurts successful. The run game has been awful the second half of this season and Hurts isn’t as much of a threat to run. Too many straight drop backs (from the gun) and expecting him to read and find an open receiver. That’s not his strength, he needs receivers schemed open for him on quick reads. Also, it gets talked about every week but nothing has changed, why aren’t they motioning more to help him with his reads?

The run game is suffering BECAUSE Hurts is no longer a regular threat to run.

Also, Hurts is one of the best passers from the pocket in the league.

he may just end up busting because tackling is so poor. But Id really love to see him as a single high safety if we ever go back to running that kind of defense all the time.

His speed is ridiculous. As an example, he missed a tackle on Walker (who runs a 4.3), and then still chased him down and caught him from behind after Walker ended up with like a 4 yard head start while Sydney recovered from missing the tackle.

We have seen how he uses his speed to range in coverage. Theres major potential there as an incredible center field safety.

One thing is for sure, weeks ago it didnt seem that crazy to wish he could get on the field as an LB since they sucked and he looked promising and is built thick. Now we know, hes not a box safety/LB.

Also, tackling issues can be fixed. Hes not soft. That cant be fixed. He has poor technique. Technique, with his willingness can be fixed.

He’s a rookie mid round pick with some good explosion.  So that’s fine…patience and a chance to compete next year.

But he clearly isn’t ready to play and shouldn’t be playing right now.

Hurts is reading the field and choosing where to throw the ball.

And he's being bad at it.   Where is the OC (and the QB coach) in helping him see it better, make it easier for him to read it properly, giving him easier reads?     Not there.

And watch the red zone PLAY CALLS.   QB draws are on the menu way too much, and in bad spots... 3rd and 6, 3rd and 12.  We are running QB draws constantly.   The Red zone offense isn't about the end zone, its about setting up the Shove.  Its gross.   I can't remember the last time they actually threw a ball INTO the end zone from inside the 20.  When was that?    Johnson has been bad too.  It's not all Hurts.  Hurts gets his part, no doubt.   Johnson does too.   And let's not forget that Sirianni is supposedly an offensive coach... where is he in all this?

They haven’t played one all around good game all season. Everyone was waiting for this so called „A" game. The entire football world was fooled into thinking this was a good team because they somehow won games. Probably the weakest 10-4 team we’ve seen. Well maybe tied with those Vikings.

Here comes the dreaded players only meeting

There are so many bigger problems than Sydney Brown. I would kill for more Browns on defense that wanted it as much as him.

With every right. You let a scrub backup two minutes away from being out of the league go 92 yards in a minute. You aren't a SB caliber team. Full stop. That was the season for me right there. I genuinely might not even watch our wild card playoff game. This team doesn't have it. We got some extremely lucky breaks early on.

I guess the excuse this week will be "well he was sick and he played through it”

No excuse for the YOLO throws.

I'm fine with Patricia. He moves on the sideline like an actual DC. His calls were better than Desai's, though that's a low bar.

The Eagles lost their best offensive mind and replaced him with Brian Johnson. They scored 17 points tonight against a terrible defense down 2 starters.

Sirianni needs to have some balls and make some real changes on offense. Cut Quez. Make/enable Patricia to make some real tough decisions on defense (benching Bradberry).

It's getting to the point where the problems are so obvious that you can't escape it - this is a Sirianni problem first, a Hurts problem second.

We can make Bradberry a post-June 1st cut for only $4.75 million dead money hit. So there's that, at least.

In games past JSN drops that ball. We could easily be 7-7 right now. Maybe even worse.

You found ONE play from 2020?  Awesome.  Can you find one from 2021?  2022?  2023?

No, because we basically stopped doing it which is my point. People like to show the ONE negative play he had doing it as well. But that’s exactly what it is, one play. Give the guy a chance in space

This team doesn’t have it this year. I’m not saying bench all vets for younger players, but I have no problem with Brown as the third safety and learning on the fly. He’s going to start next year anyway.

They should all line up and one-by-one tell Hurts to stop throwing prayers downfield, then walk over to the DLine and tell them to earn their paychecks.

Problem solved.

When is this group going to recognize that QB1 is a major factor for the failings of this team?

Just a reminder...Dallas losing the Miami really doesn't help.  Losing to Detroit would, but they are playing at home, so doubtful.

We need to beat a couple teams that are even worse than us.

All three games will be or feel like home games.

Seattle was supposed to be even worse than us.   And they had their backup QB playing.     But, everything is fine.

This team is a total mess.

Defensively they didn't do anything great up until the last drive but at least they were ok. That last drive was horrendous. That deep pass to Metcalf should never happen and thats on Bradberry AND Brown. The TD play there is plenty of blame to go around. Bradberry got beat but why in the world in that situation are they not in cover 2.

On offense those last two drives were pathetic. Desperation or not, they needed 15-20 yards for a legit game tying FG chance and Hurts just throws it up for grabs deep into double coverage. The decision to call a deep play for Quez FN Watkins when they were driving and bleeding clock and then the decision by Hurts to trust him to make a play was beyond stupid.

This was a total team effort loss by the coaches, players, etc and this is rock bottom people. They need serious changes in the offseason and the idea of getting to let alone winning a SB this year is dead.

We’re in full 2020 Wentz mode with Hurts now. Hero ball, not taking the easy route, fumbles, and brutal interceptions. The only difference is that Wentz was throwing to Reagor and Fulgham.

Lol. I wish he wanted to tackle and give Bradberry safety help.

This game isn’t an indictment on his future, but he sucked tonight.

He isn't playing well right now but he isn't even a top 5 concern for this team right now.

They may have no options and no resources to obtain other options, but Brown hasn’t earned any right to be penciled into the starting lineup next year.  It will probably be handed to him out of necessity, but he still is just a mid round pick playing at a poor level right now.

I think there are times when it’s a total cop out to blame him, but he deserves basically all of the blame for the offense’s struggles tonight.

This is the worst.  Everytime I travel for a big game it increasingly gets worse.  I'm trash talking some Fing 12 year old all game next to me only for that Fer to get the last laugh. Thousands of dollars down the drain. F you Goodell.
