In games past JSN drops that ball. We could easily be 7-7 right now. Maybe even worse.

Thats not the difference....

In games past, hurts looks inconsistent at best, but makes enough plays to lead about 2 more scoring drives.

Now, you arent getting the good plays to go along with his bad. Youre just progressively getting more and more bad from him. Thats the difference. The offense is clearly worse. Johnson still isnt a good OC and play caller, but thats not what has regressed the past 3 weeks. Hurts has.

On Bradberry, he didn't get outrun by 4.3 DK Metcalf or whatever Lockett runs in old age. He got dusted IN OFF COVERAGE by a guy who runs 4.52. He shouldn't play another snap here.

Lol. I wish he wanted to tackle and give Bradberry safety help.

This game isn’t an indictment on his future, but he sucked tonight.

Agreed, Brown was terrible tonight. I appreciate the kid's tenacity but his football IQ is horrendous and his tackling technique sucks. I'd be surprised if he is ever anything more than a backup and ST'er.

Where was the pass rush on the final drive?

They justify a mediocre back 7 by pointing to the amazing DL the assembled.

Was Reddick's name ever mentioned?

Our defense has regressed at every single position. Bar none.

We were clearly the better team tonight. Crippling calls + Metcalf did us in.

Still, when you lose 3 in a row, you deserve to get criticized.

I was waiting. I was waiting for the first dope to come in here and blame refs. JALEN HURTS LOST THEM THIS GAME. PERIOD. He doesn’t have what’s needed between the ears.

There are so many bigger problems than Sydney Brown. I would kill for more Browns on defense that wanted it as much as him.

Actually... watching this game, I'd rather have a team of Kelee Ringos.   He actually made tackles.   Brown was fast to get there, and then fast to fall off.   It really isn't worth much to be in the right position if you can't make the play when you get there.  He could improve.  He needs to get stronger.   But, he was bad.  There are plenty of problems on the team, but frankly, right now, he's one of them.   Fortunately, he's surrounded by OTHER problems, including James Bradberry.

Fire Nick. He's a fraud.

And he's being bad at it.   Where is the OC (and the QB coach) in helping him see it better, make it easier for him to read it properly, giving him easier reads?     Not there.

And watch the red zone PLAY CALLS.   QB draws are on the menu way too much, and in bad spots... 3rd and 6, 3rd and 12.  We are running QB draws constantly.   The Red zone offense isn't about the end zone, its about setting up the Shove.  Its gross.   I can't remember the last time they actually threw a ball INTO the end zone from inside the 20.  When was that?    Johnson has been bad too.  It's not all Hurts.  Hurts gets his part, no doubt.   Johnson does too.   And let's not forget that Sirianni is supposedly an offensive coach... where is he in all this?

There's gotta be no wiggle room for Alex Tanney after all this.

They may have no options and no resources to obtain other options, but Brown hasn’t earned any right to be penciled into the starting lineup next year.  It will probably be handed to him out of necessity, but he still is just a mid round pick playing at a poor level right now.

I wouldn’t consider a top of the third round pick to be a mid-round player, but that’s not really the point.

He isn't playing well right now but he isn't even a top 5 concern for this team right now.

Ok? Point remains. Whether it was Hurts or not, we’ve gotten lucky in a handful of games.

1-2 in last 3 games?

No, because we basically stopped doing it which is my point. People like to show the ONE negative play he had doing it as well. But that’s exactly what it is, one play. Give the guy a chance in space

.  He's had plenty of chances and almost all of them have ended in negative plays for the team.    An incompletion when targeting Watkins is a good outcome for this team compared to what a lot of the other things have turned into.    (Did you forget the Super Bowl where he got the ball thrown to him, in space and the ball just went through?)

When is this group going to recognize that QB1 is a major factor for the failings of this team?

What group is that?   Large group here are certainly calling him out for his play.

I still assume Ringo is going to get them killed, but he was just so conspicuously absent from all the problems tonight.  On his worst play of the night, he did a nice job closing on Lockett and may have even been able to break up a better throw.  I’m not sure he gave up a single reception.

Next time, he’ll probably get 3 PIs and 3 TDs.  But with how terrible the secondary is, why not ride it out?  Just let him start until he forces his way out of the lineup.

This is the worst.  Everytime I travel for a big game it increasingly gets worse.  I'm trash talking some Fing 1w year old all game next to me only for that Fer to get the last laugh. Thousands of dollars down the drain. F you Goodell.

Nah *****. Blame your boy QB1. He lost that game for the team with multiple boneheaded decisions.

Sydney Brown has shown enough to start. He's the only 2nd level player doing *anything*. That's why he's so noticeable. Get him around LBs who can do something please.

If I can criticize one player on the defense, apart from Bradberry, it's Sweat. Other than the first play of the game where he was unblocked for a TFL, he got shutout by Charles Cross. Non-factor as a rusher.

Sirianni is 100% going to be on the hot seat next year.

That was the knock on Brown coming out of the draft. Reared it's ugly head today at the worst possible times

We’re in full 2020 Wentz mode with Hurts now. Hero ball, not taking the easy route, fumbles, and brutal interceptions. The only difference is that Wentz was throwing to Reagor and Fulgham.

Yup. I brought this up 3 weeks. The eagles talent early in the season allowed them to overcome the turnover issues by hurts. Now that you are in the harder part of your schedule they can’t do it cause the talent is near there’s or better than theirs. The reality is wentz was terrible in 2020 with a terrible offensive unit. Hurts is bad with a good amount of talent. Doesn’t help sirianni and Johnson aren’t very creative and we still are at our guys are better than yours so we will beat you.

Ringo is going to be a starter next year so might as well jump-start that process now. Just go with him and Slay.

I think there are times when it’s a total cop out to blame him, but he deserves basically all of the blame for the offense’s struggles tonight.

Save some for BJ.

Secondary, LB's, OC, DC, so yeah MAYBE he is the 5th biggest concern for this team right now. Him or the DL not being able to get sacks anymore. Good discussion.

At least Brown is in a position around the ball to make a play. The dude is a rookie. He's going to be fine.

I’m all for Brown getting an opportunity, but my point is that a better, more talented Eagles team has Brown buried on the bench right now and isn’t willing to assume anything from him next year, especially after what he’s shown so far.
