What are you talking about?

Hurts was so dreadful it was almost impossible to run an effective offense, let alone an effective passing game.

Bradberry just said on the final play, they were in man, and he was sitting at the sticks.   Was the call to play the sticks, or did he decide to do that?

Whoever's idea it was... they need to keep the ball out of the end zone... why are you playing the sticks?   You play over the top, don't you?  Can't let them get behind you... the one thing you absolutely can't do is get beat for a TD over the top.

I want to point out again

The disgusted reaction Hurts gave when Jake Elliott sent the game to OT on a 60 yard FG stands out even more now when you see how Hurts tried to steal the headlines tonight instead of letting his kicker take care of business again. Selfish player putting a losing stink on the team slowly but surely. Very Wentzish.

An insane take.

I get that you hate Hurts, but that's far even for you.

Sirianni trying to heap praise on Hurts for not infecting the team with his illness.

Well, he seems to have infected the team with something.

You didn't say it was largely on him. You said "this is on him." That means it's a;; his fault they lost. He was definitely part of the problem tonight but to put the majority of the loss on him is the typical lazy narrative to give the QB too much credit when they win and too much blame when they lose. It's a team game.

It is on him. This was never a loss without his shitting the bed with those two egregious throws.

Leonard is shot.

Byard is below average.

Terrible mid season moves.

Should have kept CGJ and Edwards or White.

Roseman needs to feel the heat.

Lurie needs to be held accountable.

Sirianni ra ra BS not working anymore.

This team gets trounced by Tampa Bay in the wildcard. Full foo king circle.

I’m in favor of executing the team.

I'm going to blame the OC for not making it clear to Hurts that the goal of the drive is a time consuming scoring drive.  This conversation needs to happen on the sidelines before the QB goes out on to the field for that drive.   Explain the goal is to move the chains, control the ball, kill the clock and score at the end of the drive.    If he didn't do that (and it sure seems he didn't, because I don't see how Hurts would just go that far off script), he deserves blame.   Situational awareness has been lacking all year, and that falls on the coaches to instill in the players.  It just doesn't happen, it is taught.

Hurts absolutely gets the most, I'm in no way defending Hurts.  Hurts was brutal.   All I'm saying is, the OC isn't off the hook entirely either.

I know we don't see everything on TV, but do we ever see coaches talking with Hurts on the sideline? Anytime they ever show him, he's just sitting on the bench looking like he hates life. Where's the coaching him up after a bad play, where's the huddling with his teammates and trying to figure out how to fix mistakes? We never see any of that.

Yeah, HE is going off the deep end on that one.

They’re finding ways to lose. There’s no more "clutch” it seems. 3rd and long is still this defense’s worst down. That’s just….. that’s the opposite of clutch.

and hurts has become so inconsistent and with play-calling that is predictable at its best, there’s not gonna be any play-calls to "get him back in a rhythm”. The offense just calls the same old crap in the same formation and say "make it happen guys!”

and why is it that whenever hurts scrambles, none of the wrs move? No one goes deep. No one goes to the ball. They fake like they’re gonna go somewhere and just sit in the place they just were.

🗑️

This offense is quietly turning into the end of the Chip Kelly era offense when the offense just ran the same 5-6 plays all game long.

Dummies like him aren't self aware enough to realize they are making their nefarious agendas very clear. He was obviously pissed off they weren't able to score a TD and win the game. I guess some people just have a problem with a young black man being competitive though.

I found Hurts to be quite frustrating tonight. The first drive was clinical. Right reads, accurate, decisive, etc.

Then he'd throw to awful bombs to Swift down the sideline. I wish I knew if that was the correct read (if so, ugh) or if he's just too aggresive.

Steichen was a MASSIVE loss. Look at what he's doing in Indy with Jonathan Taylor hurt for most of the year and Gardner Mindshew at QB. Meanwhile Brian Johnson runs this offense like it's a HS team.

Yup. Steichen gets an incredibly green Anthony Richardson with worse skill players than us and their offense just went off without a hitch. We haven't been able to get out of our own way all season.

I think you don't what the word "nefarious" means.

Right, so he gave up 92 yards in a minute and 24 seconds to an offense led by a career backup? I must have missed him out on the field on defense.

You're an idiot. Thinking Hurts is selfish and playing hero ball is not racism. Bad takes don't fix bad takes.

Race has ZERO to do with this. Pulling out the race card is such a cop out.

Scouting report on him coming out of college:

After Tua Tagovailoa took the starting job from Hurts at Alabama, Hurts transferred to Oklahoma for his senior year. Under Lincoln Riley, he completed 70 percent of his passes in 2019 for 3,851 yards with 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Hurts had a lot of good receiver talent to work with, and the Sooners became more of a running offense with him at quarterback compared to how they operated with Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield in the previous two seasons. League sources say Hurts is not the personality made out to be, and they heard from some staff at Oklahoma who are happy to see Hurts leave the program. Behind the scenes, it sounds as though things weren’t as smooth for him in the transition from Alabama to Oklahoma.

interesting.

It computes. Ive said all along he is a selfish player for always looking to run it on by himself in the redzone in his 1st and 2nd years.

Then it became a staple of the offense, and he was MVP and all was well.

Now, its really hard to see the way he ended both halves tonight with ill advised long bomb throws and not remember his face on the sideline when Jake hit that big kick. And this could finally be the set of circumstances that finally gives traction to the notion that he is a selfish, selfish player.

Having a problem with someone and pushing an agenda based on social reasons is quite wicked or nefarious. So you would be wrong.

And we were in that position at all because of not moving they chains sensibly earlier on and playing hero ball instead.

Nefarious means criminal, not objectionable.

No, you are the idiot since you don't even understand the point. Making up lies that someone was upset because he didn't get to be the hero when it was obvious to anyone with half a brain he was upset they weren't able to get a TD and win the game is too stupid of a take to no be driven by an agenda.
