Sounds like a winner according to reading about him for 2 minutes. You must relate to his "smartest guy in the room" persona, I bet he reminds you of schooling all those Catholic teachers How many times do I have to tell you I never went to Catholic school? One of my great grandfathers was an English Protestant whose unfavorable views towards Catholics was handed down to my grandfather and to a lesser extent, my mother. It really sucks that he had that relationship with Epstein. I haven’t really heard much about him lately. I only mentioned him here because like many apologists, you mentioned "something from nothing” as a big gotcha. His relationship and defense of Epstein, coupled with his own sexual harassment issues may make him a POS, but it doesn’t make him wrong any more than his credentials make him right. How can you have an opinion about a book you never read?

That being said, an intelligent creative force certainly hasn't been disproven. Could it be that our universe, and perhaps multiverse is just exponentially more complex than we could even fathom?

January 6, 20241 yr Quote The James Webb Space Telescope, not even finished with its first full year of observations, has delivered some real stunners. But amid the breathtaking images and unprecedented findings, there was a puzzling claim: that the telescope had detected galaxies in the incredibly young universe. Those galaxies were so massive and appeared so early that they, the headlines claimed, "broke" the Big Bang model of cosmology. The claim went viral, but as with many things on the internet, it's simply not true. How many times can someone be duped by a headline? https://www.space.com/james-webb-space-telescope-didnt-break-big-bang-explained

Anyone with any sense, comes the realization that we, as a species, don't know much. That we don't know, does not mean we should accept the word of ancient goat herders for the truth. To date, I haven't seen an intelligent design theory, that wasn't repackaged goat herder theory, updated with scientific language.

Nope, if you don't know something you are supposed to make an explanation up so it doesn't frighten you.

The "made up explanation" you're referring to has the exact same probability of being correct as any theory that scienctists have "made up." You're not really any less fearful than someone with faith, probably more fearful of death
