We'd say to them, instead of being miserable all day, why don't you step up and do something about it? If enough of them got involved maybe they'd have a voice.... Well, maybe they finally started listening. Oh, so it's YOUR fault!

July 10, 20214 yr Marsha Blackburn, R TN senator to Taylor Swift (who made comments against Blackburn, called her Trump in a wig): https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/562345-sen-blackburn-taylor-swift-would-be-the-first-victim-of-socialism-marxism "When I'm talking to my friends who are musicians and entertainers, I say, 'If - if we have a socialistic government, if we have Marxism, you are going to be the first ones who will be caught off because the state would have to approve your music,' " Blackburn told Breitbart News. "And, you know, Taylor Swift, came after me and my 2018 campaign, but Taylor Swift would be the first victim of that because when you look at Marxist, socialist societies, they do not allow women to dress, or sing, or be on stage, or to entertain," she continued, adding that such governments "don't allow protection of private intellectual property rights."
July 10, 20214 yr Isn’t there some issue with Taylor Swift not owning the rights to her music? That must be Marxism.

Maybe if he saw her tear down the sign or take it from someone, it would be destruction of property. But he doesn't even have that. And hate crime?? This stupidity should be dismissed by a competent court ASAP.

It looks like the cop said the person changed her story about where she got the sign, so he’d under the belief it’s not hers and it’s destruction of property. My guess is that it’ll be dismissed. The year in prison is one of the max options. My guess is that if she is somehow found guilty (which could probably only happen if she cooperates and tells them it wasn’t hers, or if someone has video proof of her taking it from somewhere), she’s probably get a fine. It looks like it’s being escalated to a hate crime since the cop was there, and that’s when she destroyed the sign while looking at him a certain way. I guess he took it as some sort of threat. Seems very subjective and unless there’s clear video of it, I’ll agree that it’d be hard for her to get any sort of penalty.
