I also think Democrats can stop campaigning on fringe issues and/or catering to the further left and stay moderate and left of center.  Win over more independents, undecideds, former conservatives who feel they don't have a party anymore.  You don't need to convince the blue check marks and purple haired SJWs to vote Democrat, just virtue signal enough about equality and diversity and they'll vote.  Make the case you're the sane party that has answers for jobs, economy, handling COVID, etc.  We don't need foolishness like claiming Americans will save a few cents on 4th of July BBQ or claim inflation is a good thing.  The crime that's getting out of control because liberals don't want to prosecute theft under a certain amount and want to de-fund the police isn't winning over the average middle class worker or small business owner.  Blaming businesses for not hiring private security when the DA lets criminals loose repeatedly and doesn't want to prosecute theft just makes it open season.  

Show strength on economy, jobs, security and try to be the sane party should be a slam dunk but they shoot themselves in the foot.
