Seriously, you know where to go for the direction you'd like to lean. Stop acting like there aren't media outlets who won't feed you what you want. Edit: They even have an article on the frontpage titled "Tyrant Trudeau"

I’m sure you don’t feel that way. Has nothing to do with lean, just find it odd that 100% focus is on Ukraine in the vast majority of media.

Canada is getting plenty of coverage but the significance isn't even close.

February 21, 20223 yr OK. Once again. It’s Canada. It is like 1,000 people and 8 million moose. You know what’s awesome about being an American? Not giving a flying ish about anything north of us until Santa Claus.

February 21, 20223 yr Smoking gun. More evidence of fraud. LOL https://news.yahoo.com/cousin-allegedly-killed-wife-cast-015824872.html My Cousin Allegedly Killed His Wife and Cast Her Vote for Trump On Mother’s Day 2020, 49-year-old Suzanne Morphew went missing in Salida, Colorado. The mother of two adult daughters, Suzanne is the wife of my first cousin and childhood hero, Barry Morphew. Though Suzanne’s body has not been found, Barry has been charged with her murder. He is out of jail on bond, and goes to trial later this year... Then, in May 2021, Barry was arrested for allegedly murdering Suzanne. Soon after, I learned that Barry had also been charged with casting his missing wife’s mail-in ballot in the 2020 presidential election for Trump. According to an arrest affidavit, he has admitted to voting illegally, even as he has steadfastly denied murdering his wife.

February 23, 20223 yr Interesting theory about Christian nationalists and Evangelicals. They like to pick on weak targets, but they’re really against secularism.

But to the point, I guess I just largely disagree with the premise. He's not wrong that the Religious Right finds a new scapegoat every few years (and that they're all under the same umbrella of 'attacking secular anything'), but picking your battles is important. Trans issues shouldn't be treated the same as marriage equality issues because they aren't the same. And when the protest left treats everything with equal severity, it undermines more important battles and makes them seem like chicken littles. And quite frankly, if all that's lost is that a fraction of percentage of people use a bathroom based on which sex organs they have, then so be it.

Who is checking out whom's genitals as they use the bathroom? It all becomes moot when the old communal restrooms are phased out, and everything becomes single-use, self-contained restrooms... Whatever. The bigger point is nationalist evangelicals are picking the low-hanging fruit, attacking the trans kids who have no power to fight back, banking few people will defend trans kids. That makes a foothold to attack secularism in the larger debate.

I would say most don't even give a f about trans people and their mental disorders, but when we start blurring the line in competitive sport then I think people have a right to say what the heck is going.

I feel bad for dude's that are nearby when I'm blowing up the toilet, much less women. And that answer tells me that the bathroom thing isn't irrelevant to it. It's a part of it. Turning every bathroom into a communal experience is a part of that trans battle. Only a tiny fraction of people change there, but it's being forced onto everyone. Leave it alone. It's not worth it. Edit: I completely misread your post. But I'm going to leave mine up anyway, because I like my blowing up the toilet point.

Because that's not so much about being trans as it is fair competition.

It's such a non-issue to me, I don't even want to bring it up to even bring attention any of the backwards-thinking naysayers' arguments. I think that gets more to your initial point.
