May 4, 20223 yr newsmax Quote https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/newsmax-genius-accuses-ketanji-brown-jackson-of-leaking-the-scotus-draft/ar-AAWV8W5?li=BBnbfcL Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield ludicrously accused incoming Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson of leaking the court’s majority draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, confidently declaring Tuesday night that "she would be my first suspect when it comes to the leak.” There’s just one problem with Stinchfield’s theory: Jackson doesn’t even join the court until after the current term ends this summer. "She would be my first suspect when it comes to the leak because Ketanji Brown Jackson is a radical left-wing activist, more radical than any other justice in the history of the Supreme Court,” the Newsmax star concluded. "I believe she is capable of undermining the court this way.” Of course, it is patently ridiculous to suggest that Jackson or her clerks, who will not be with the court until Justice Stephen Breyer officially steps down later this summer. Furthermore, the opinion was originally drafted in February by Justice Samuel Alito—more than a month before Jackson was even confirmed by the Senate. This is far from the first time that Stinchfield has tossed out bonkers claims about the Supreme Court. Shortly after Breyer announced his retirement earlier this year, the former NRA-TV host insisted that it was all part of a nefarious scheme to somehow install Hillary Clinton as president.
May 6, 20223 yr The Scotus already ruled against Texas once. But since they are now in the habit of overturning Precedent and sending Stare Decisis into the trash heap of history Texas is trying again. Mabye they will get to slavery in the future. https://www.yahoo.com/news/abbott-says-texas-could-challenge-150948568.html Abbott says Texas could challenge Supreme Court ruling that states educate all, including undocumented Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Wednesday said his administration may challenge a Supreme Court ruling that states must provide free public education to all children, including undocumented immigrants. "Texas already long ago sued the federal government about having to incur the costs of the education program, in a case called Plyler versus Doe,” the governor said on "The Joe Pags Show.” He added that "the Supreme Court ruled against us on the issue about denying, or let’s say Texas having to bear that burden.” Plyler v. Doe is a 1982 Supreme Court case that rejected the denial of public education funding for children who are undocumented. "I think we will resurrect that case and challenge this issue again, because the expenses are extraordinary and the times are different than when Plyler versus Doe was issued many decades ago,” Abbott said. The Hill has reached out to Abbott for comment. Abbott has also been a leading opponent of the Biden administration’s decision to lift Title 42, a Trump-era public health rule that prevented migrants from seeking asylum to stem the spread of COVID-19. Abbott sent a bus full of immigrants to Washington, D.C., last month, in what the White House called a publicity stunt. The Texas governor, who is running for reelection this year, also temporarily ramped up border inspections for trucks crossing into Texas, creating logjams that cleared only when Mexican governors pledged to increase security measures on their side of the border. Abbott’s remarks follow the Monday night leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that established the right to an abortion in the U.S. That report has prompted some activists and advocates to question what other Supreme Court precedents on basic rights could be overruled in the future.

May 7, 20223 yr Nothing held up in court, so they made a fictional movie about it. https://2000mules.com/ FROM PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP "Highly respected Dinesh D'Souza, working together with Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote, just released a trailer to their new movie, "2,000 Mules," that shows the world exactly how the 2020 Presidential Election was Rigged and Stolen. The movie exposes the lies of the Democrats, RINOs, and Fake News who say it was the "most secure election in history." It was, perhaps, the least secure in history. The ballot box was stuffed, and stuffed like never before—and it's all on video. Ballots were trafficked and sold in a massive operation in each Swing State. The evidence is so damning, what will the cowards who sat and did nothing about the stolen election say now? The way our votes were taken away is a disgrace to our Nation. It must be fixed."

May 7, 20223 yr Ok I looked into this Wilhoite thing. Apparently there were three Republicans on the ballot for three spots. No Dems ran. The guy was going to win regardless unless literally nobody voted for him, and he was a distant third in voting. So I'll chalk that up to a bunch of people just randomly picking a name with no idea the guy was in jail.

Whenever it says I can vote for more than 1 person, I always vote for the max. Like in this instance, if I can vote for 3, and there’s only 3 option, I’m voting for them all.
