I’m generally against bans but believe that there should be stringent background checks, training, and licensing before we hand someone a gun.

Agreed. Bans are difficult to enforce. Because once a ban is enacted, gunmakers find a way to invent a new feature that circumvents the law. I am also in favor of background checks and mandatory waiting periods. And licensing gun owners and compulsory training. I even want a gun registry. In other words 6 in 10 Americans who answer gun polls don't have any idea what they're talking about.

May 3, 20232 yr There is a house in my neighborhood that I always thought the owner might be a tad unhinged. About a year ago he put up a shoddy 6 Ft privacy fence around his back yard with signs posted on it like if you can read this, you are in my range, forget the dog, beware of the owner….He must have been told that part of it was too high because it ran right next to the sidewalk because he tore that part down and replaced it with 4 Ft pickets. A few months later the 6ft sections were back. Today we were driving by and the wife pointed out he was flying a black flag and asked what it meant. Turns out is a blacked out American Flag. She was a little freaked out when I told her what it meant. I’m glad he’s about a half mile from my house and I should be far enough away not to be collateral damage if he snaps.
