The miscellaneous conservatives/Trumpbots/racists inciting violence/BS thread

After assessing the number of defensive posts from Jason Aldean superfans and comparing it to the ones from Snow White superfans in the other thread, I hereby officially declare a foul of outrage. The outrage must be equal!

Michigan charges 16 fake electors for Donald Trump with election law and forgery felonies

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan’s attorney general filed felony charges Tuesday against 16 Republicans who acted as fake electors for then-President Donald Trump in 2020, accusing them of submitting false certificates confirming they were legitimate electors despite Joe Biden’s victory in the state.

Hang them

This is your gotcha?  That a country star singing about a small town isn't small enough for your standards, it's "a small city."  Their population is 153,000.  You know damn well that in other contexts you'd mock a town like Macon, GA for being a small time southern town.

The real problem with the song is the lyrics

Congratulations. You nailed it. The problem with the song is the lyrics don't even describe a small town. It's made up phoney baloney from a guy that wasn't even raised in a small town. He's pandering to wannabes.

There is a video of the fake electors trying to enter the State Capitol while the counting of the electors was taking place and claiming they were real electors but the State Police would not let them in. I'm sure this will be used as evidence of their guilt.

It also describes this idealized version of a small town that doesn't usually stack up with reality. Lots of bad stuff goes down in small towns.

There's good and bad people in big cities and small towns. You throw a lot of people in close proximity then there's going to be more friction and static, but acting like small town people are better because they'll shoot you when you get "out of line" is a weird flex.

You want to know what it is really like in a small town?

"Carjack an old lady at a red light" - There are no red lights
"Pull a gun on the owner of a liquor store" - No liquor stores either
"Cuss out a cop, spit in his face" - You'd be lucky to find one... No local cops, and the state troopers take at least 30-45 minutes to respond.
"Stomp on the flag and light it up" - Nobody around is going to stop you.

Whatever version of a small town Aldean is thinking of, it is made up.

You're wrong on this one.  I grew up in a small town.  Small town cops suck ass.  They're all up in everybody's business because they've got nothing better to do.

The town clowns... Yeah, some of the bigger small towns next to mine had those.

in my experience, small towns often either have nosy cops (particularly nosy about "out of town people"), or they have none because they don't want to pay them and instead rely on state police.

The road into town went from 55 mph to 25 mph, with a small buffer 35mph going downhill. The town clowns would sit just over the crest of the hill to nail speeders driving through. Or occasionally there might be a domestic disturbance, somebody would get drunk and hit their wife or something. That's all they really responded to. I was told stories about the officer and a deputy in my town, but they were cut from the budget before I was born. I lived just outside of town limits anyway, so it was always covered by state troopers.

yeah it depends if the locality has a police force. perry county pa has a very small sheriff's office but that's it for the entire county. other than that, it's staties. i think i have seen two cops in three years out there.

on the other hand i see multi game wardens and forestry officers every time i am there.

If so keep doing 55 until you're not.

(I kid. Sorta. Sister lives there. She's working on her 3rd marriage and 4th kid, with an age difference of 20 years between youngest and oldest. So yeah..)

If you keep doing the same thing over and over, and you keep getting the same result, it is what?

A complete and irreversible detachment from reality. The smirk on her face when she mentions the supreme court says it all. This is what people like Mike and Kz look like when they spout their gibberish.

In other words, they are arguing slaves benefitted from slavery, but they don't want you to say that quiet part out loud.

I like how Jesse Waters is standing in front of a spinning history graphic while spinning history.

When a silly Hollywood movie becomes reality

image.jpeg.b921413c2cfed33fd43b1a0e5c3a232e.jpeg

We live in a world that has threads, and those threads have to be populated by men with a perverse intellect.

Who's gonna do it? You? You, @prophet215?

I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for CVON and you curse my off-topic posts.

You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that my incessant trolling, while annoying, probably saves the EMB; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves the EMB.

You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me in that thread -- you need me in that thread.

I use words like "boner," "minge," "bagel." I use these words as the backbone of a life spent wasting valuable time online. You use them to play Wordle.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to posters who rise and sleep under the blanket of the very hilarity that I provide and then question the manner in which I provide it.

I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a thesaurus and post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to!

Did you know Trump was such a good President since he caused peace in the Middle East? And it was cold in Washington DC on January 6 because of vaccine particles.

A bunch of insecure men are furious about the Barbie movie.
