Guy who was supposed to be investigating alleged Trump-Russia ties ends up finding none while taking money from Russian oligarchs. I'm sure Trumplicans will demand we get to the bottom of this, just line with every outlandish claim about the "Biden family" goings on.

I'm laughing but I agree. Too many parents let their kids be slugs. My wife and I force our kids to be in a physical activity/sport. They can pick what they do, but they have to do something.

It won't work. Kids do the opposite of what adults tell them to do. 10 minutes ago, Gannan said: I'm laughing but I agree. Too many parents let their kids be slugs. So they will pick football, lacrosse, or hockey... Something that is really expensive and time consuming, and they beat each other over the head with sticks and stuff, so they think you don't like it.
August 14, 20232 yr We have the opposite problem (with my oldest at least). If we let her, she'd do sports or activities every day of week. Last year for about a month when there was overlap, she had basketball on Mondays, soccer on Tuesdays and Thursdays, dance on Wednesdays, and ninja warrior (like an obstacle course training thing) on Fridays. I warned my wife that I thought it was too much, for both of us to manage and also for her, and she would get burnt out. Sure enough she did, ended up dropping both the dance and ninja classes shortly after. She then tried softball in the spring but wasn't all that great at it. This summer she did fewer camps and none were sports related, though she says she wants to try a soccer one next summer. Last summer she did flag football for the first time and ended up being awesome at it. At first she was nervous because she was one of only two girls. She's pretty quick so naturally was able to run around and away from almost anyone on the field. Probably the 3rd or 4th best player out of 20 or so kids. I was really bummed she didn't want to do it again this summer.

It's less and less every year as they get older and the girls that do stick around are usually one of the best on their team.

She was real fun to watch though. The other parents were coming up to us a lot to ask if she had been playing for years and we'd be like "nope, first time."

I felt like all I did was work and take him to activities. Anything to keep them off the internet.
