I just think we've set up a very dangerous new world here. This, the dog lady, other Karens, etc. This dude's life is ruined over a 17 second viral clip. It was most likely preceded by him being followed/recorded and shamed for not wearing a mask until he lashed out. I don't think it's something to celebrate that he lost his job because someone posted the video and "Twitter did its thing" until they doxxed him and contacted his employer. It's downright sick in the middle of a pandemic when work is hard to come by especially if he is the breadwinner of a household with children.

What if the elderly lady did say something that you'd consider verbal "harassment". That's still no excuse to physically charge at her screaming like a lunatic. It's borderline assault.

If that guy has the proclivity to make such poor decisions then, as an employer, I can't risk him making those same decisions while he's on the clock. He represents a risk to the company and the employees around him. People who prove themselves to be liabilities to everyone around them don't deserve to be gainfully employed. That's the simple truth. It's the employer's right and responsibility to find someone to replace him that isn't likely to do something stupid like he did.

You don't walk into a place where everyone else has masks in a "20 second lapse in judgement". Sorry. He should have thought about his family (and the family of others) before deciding not to wear a mask.

If he's insecure enough to put everyone in danger just so he doesn't look weak in a mask, I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that he's also sensitive enough to fly off the handle based on a polite request.

Virginia has mandated mask use indoors, and I see tons of people without masks every time I go out. Do I think their all bad people with "chips on their shoulders?" Of course not.

No, it's a possibility just like the possibility that he instantly flew off the handle when politely asked the first time. I would guess that, yes, that encounter was preceded by something more than a simple question. I guess you disagree?

it's possible that he pulled his dong out & spun around like a helicopter for 5 minutes before the video was taken.  i don't know what happened before the video & neither do you.
