What's even more awful is these people were saying "White Lives are better" and "We should have kept you slaves" to a 16 year old. These are grown adults acting this way.

I think people like that need to be told they're scum especially by other white people. I don't really know what it's going to take, when I was a kid in the 80s I remember everyone saying this racism will die out with older generations but it hasn't.

We just need to hope the amount of racists gets smaller and smaller.

I think the recent attention to racial injustice will help, and anecdotally I see more white people speaking out and realizing their prejudices, wanting to get involved, have difficult conversations with POC about race and listen and learn and all that. So I think there is momentum that can be used to change things.
