I keep thinking way back to when Trump was going on about Obama's birth certificate (seems like aeons ago) and I'm still perplexed how that wasn't enough of a red flag for at least a critical mass of people to steer clear. Fortunately, for unhinged MAGA's everywhere, wokeness and it's insidious apologetics swept in to save the day and drive just enough people into his waiting arms. Come on asteroid 2024 YR4! We're counting on you!

Yeah, it's one thing enjoying the misery of others when it comes to sports teams, but in actual real life ? Come on. And I speak as someone who got laid off once before so I know how crappy it feels. Hopefully they get as lucky as me and soon get better jobs 👍

Are you kidding? All that birther stuff is what launched Trump's political career. Americans saw Trump harping on about Obama's birth record, even after he was proved wrong, and said "yeah! that's my guy!"

What's even more curious is how they remained steadfast in spite of all the wonderful alternatives being offered by the Democrats.
March 12, 20251 yr At first, I thought that Trump was in a wax museum. It shocked me little when he started moving.
March 31, 2025Mar 31 Her sister-in-law is one too. You don’t get exceptions because you voted for the orange doofus.

May 6, 2025May 6 "I voted for Trump for change"; "Wait. Not like that!" NPRA Maryland town backed Trump's cost-cutting pledge. Now i...Emmitsburg is home to the National Fire Academy, effectively the war college for U.S. firefighters. The Trump administration's decision to halt classes has some townspeople pondering their votes.Emmitsburg voted overwhelmingly for President Trump in November. NPR interviewed about two dozen people here. Almost all of them voted for Trump, and many said his plans to cut federal spending were a key attraction. Now, they say they are puzzled as to why the administration would cancel national training for firefighters. Why do these fools always think everyone else has to take the cut, while they are the only ones that are going to be spared? They are not special.
May 6, 2025May 6 It's not just classes for firefighting. The administration is going after support for training across a wide swath of industries. For decades we wanted the government to help support funding to re-training of our workforce as our economy matured and different skills were needed. Now we're deciding to cut those same programs - which are a fraction of a percent of the budget and provide demonstrable value and ROI - because they're considered part of the "bloat".The Trump administration is incompetent from top to bottom.

Like you said, years ago we saw the gaps in the system. As a community we said, let's work together and solve this for the greater good. And so we did. Now some in the community say, nah, nevermind. we want to take that back. Until those gaps reappear. Then they will want it filled again.
May 6, 2025May 6 NewsweekWoman who called kid n-word raises over $700K in just 5 daysA woman who was filmed calling a young Black child the n-word at a local park has raised over $700,000 through an online fundraiser.Heather Wilson, the co-founder of GiveSendGo, confirmed to Newsweek that the comments were disabled on Hendrix's fundraiser."We have moderation systems in place, including a profanity filter, but in this case, the volume and intensity of comments containing racial and offensive language exceeded what our system was designed to handle, and was being abused by some givers. As a result, we made the decision to turn off commenting altogether on this fundraiser," Wilson said.A GoFundMe for the 5-year-old Black child seen in the video and his family raised over $340,000 and has since been closed. The Rochester branch of the NAACP opened the fundraiser, and the money will help fund legal redress and advocacy efforts for the family.Read more Minnesota
