Sure, although I don’t think it’s Antifa that’s burning down businesses.

"I know a highly organized group of militants was days away from kidnapping a Democrat governor, storming the capitol building and taking hostages, and setting off anti-personnel IED's at police officers homes but did you hear about those filthy animals that have the nerve to be protesting police brutality and spray painting buildings?"

Let's just skip over the part about arson and assault and ignore the Antifa dude who murdered a Trump supporter in Portland and say that Antifa just spray paints buildings. This has been a peak CVON exchange.

Just like Agent Orange himself.  Taken the actual issue, white racist radicals plotting to overthrow their states government and kidnap the governor, and turned it into a discussion about something totally unrelated.

Then we will have to disagree.  The whole conversation started due to one incident where a bunch of lowlifes tried to kidnap a democratic official, where as the left has been a violent mob in the streets all summer long (and quite frankly, for years now just not at this intensity)

One group is handful of people vandalizing stuff and setting fires under the cover of protests that revolve around police brutality and racism.

The other group is, more often than not, a paramilitarized "militia" prepping for war who's already been responsible for the murder of Jews, Muslims, police, and anyone else that stands between them and goal of a "White America".

Has anyone discussed the roots of this group had Timothy McVeigh at one of their early meetings years ago ??

Yeah dude... we should all need to keep eyes on the ball here. We've got Antifa thugs armed with cans of tuna roaming the streets.

Don't forget assaulting people and murdering at least one.

"Just a handful"

downunder, you asked me why I come here, do you see now? You just can't replicate this content. Fantastic.

Arson, assault, murder. "cans of tuna"

We're entering munson territory, here. You've done everything but explicitly express admiration for them.

I have zero doubt you feel actual fear about getting pelted in the head with some tuna. I feel you.

So your membership of this board is strictly political ??  Do you ever post anything about the football team ??  This is by the way, THE EAGLES MESSAGE BOARD.

Yeah, getting hit with a can of tuna hurled at my face probably would suck. I'm not gonna lie.

Do you consider Al Qaeda an organization?  Because their structure and methods of communication are very similar.

Al Qaeda absolutely had a organizational hierarchy. Do you think the military was just making up ish when they would say certain leaders were killed and expected to be replaced by their second in command? If that exists with Antifa in some capacity then you might have a point. I honestly don't know but I doubt they are "very similar" as you've implied.

Tell me more.  Honestly.   How widespread is it?  I'm not aware of a roaming militia murdering Jews, Muslims and police.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/02/20/hate-groups-white-power-supremacists-southern-poverty-law-center/2918416002/

The number of hate groups active in the USA rose to its highest level in two decades last year, according to an annual survey released Wednesday by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The count of active groups that the civil rights organization labels as espousing hate climbed to 1,020, up from 784 four years ago, and was propelled by a rise in extremism, the center said. From 2017 to 2018 alone, the tally rose 7 percent.

The groups range from white supremacists to black nationalists, neo-NSDAPs to neo-Confederates.

When they can't deny, they deflect. Must suck to be constantly put into that position because you're forced to defend a racist moron.

Thank you, but I'm asking about actual violent acts.  Not the number of groups that meet at Billy Bob's trailer to hate on the browns.  (Bengals, Steelers, and Ravens fans excluded, of course)

Not the same. The organization is purposely spread out, but there is a leadership structure and hierarchy in al Qaeda. Individual groups take direction from the top, and execute those orders independently, and can survive beyond the head of the organization being taken out.

Antifa has adherents. Those adherents commit crimes and should be prosecuted. It's a meaningless point in the context of violence perpetuated, but it's still truthful to say it's not an organization.

That last part made me laugh out loud, my coworkers gave me that look like WTF is wrong with you.

A quick google search does not show exact numbers, but this story talks about some specific cases.

These people literally live in an alternate reality. Antifa, despite being involved in ongoing riots in various cities all across the country, are just a "handful" of people, but there's definitely tons of white supremacist militias terrorizing and murdering minorities all over the country. We just don't hear about it because the media notoriously underreports stuff like that.

There's been a 55% increase in white nationalist hate groups since 2017. The FBI says they are the #1 threat to Americans at home.

Just last year we've had white nationalists blow up/shoot up synagogues in California and New York. One of them shot up a Walmart in El Paso because he thought immigrants would be there. These events killed dozens of people.

This year isn't shaping up to be too much better. We've had Boogaloo Boys murdering police on multiple occasions. And just now we learned that a full on white nationalist militia was just stopped from probably killing hundreds more and kidnapping a sitting U.S. governor.

And these are just the largest events. I didn't even include the isolated occurrences of white nationalists plowing their cars into groups of people or the countless other awful things they are up to these days.

Yes, to be an organization, you have to be organized at a national level and have a clear hierarchy including a CEO who leads from an official headquarters.

All of that is absolutely awful.  Deplorables, every single one of them and they should all be locked up.

But I still don't believe that puts them on the same playing field as the antifa and blm riots.

the "angry right" are only going to become more violent and unhinged over the next few weeks as they see their dear leader about to suffer a humiliating defeat. the deplorable will become even more deplorable.
