I would be p!ssed for sure, but insurance would take care of it.  My wife's car was stolen two weeks ago and used on a crime spree by some tweakers.  I was super p!ssed, but it all worked out in the end.

I don't think downundermike has ever dealt with an insurance company.

 Yeah, take that, mike! You've never filed an insurance claim, hah! And I bet I have more vacation days than you too!

"Cans of tuna" and "insurance will cover it" are two highlights of this discussion.

Read my post again.  I have never had a bad experience with my insurance, car, home.  I even won a lemon law case against Kia and they bought my car back for the full retail price I paid for it.

Then we will have to disagree.  The whole conversation started due to one incident where a bunch of lowlifes tried to kidnap a democratic official, where as the left has been a violent mob in the streets all summer long (and quite frankly, for years now just not at this intensity).  I feel like the radical right wing incidents is far outweigh by the radical left ones, but I am open  to any counterargument that proves the contrary.

WASHINGTON — Christopher A. Wray, the director of the F.B.I., warned a House committee on Thursday that Russia was actively pursuing a disinformation campaign against former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and expressed alarm about violent extremist groups.

"Racially motivated violent extremism,” mostly from white supremacists, has made up a majority of domestic terrorism threats, Mr. Wray told the House Homeland Security Committee. He also echoed an intelligence community assessment last month that Russia was conducting a "very active” campaign to spread disinformation and interfere in the presidential election, with Mr. Biden as the primary target.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The acting chief of the Department of Homeland Security’s intelligence office on Friday said he agrees with the FBI director and other administration officials that white supremacists are an active threat to public order.

For decades, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has routinely warned its agents that the white supremacist and far-right militant groups it investigates often have links to law enforcement.

A heavily redacted version of the 2006 document had previously been published, one of a handful of documents revealing federal officials’ growing concern with white supremacists’ "historical” interest in "infiltrating law enforcement communities or recruiting law enforcement personnel.” A different internal document obtained by The Intercept in 2017 had also noted that "domestic terrorism investigations focused on militia extremists, white supremacist extremists, and sovereign citizen extremists often have identified active links to law enforcement officers.”

The unredacted version of the first document sheds further light on the FBI’s concerns, as early as 2006, about "self-initiated efforts by individuals, particularly among those already within law enforcement ranks, to volunteer their professional resources to white supremacist causes with which they sympathize.”

"Having personnel within law enforcement agencies has historically been and will continue to be a desired asset for white supremacist groups seeking to anticipate law enforcement interest in and actions against them,” the report notes in a section that was previously redacted.

Bigger issue: National security threat by an insidious movement or a couple of burnt businesses by a bunch of bored hooligans?

The big issue is the liberal media not paying proper respect to the mad rantings of your favorite president.

the point i was making before this became an insurance discussion was that people who have their property destroyed by these rioters probably think antifa is a threat.

depends on who you ask.

Man, we're really running with this idea that arson, assaults, mass acts of vandalism that span the course of 3 months are no big deal.

I like this game! Shall we continue?

man, are we really running with the idea that bickering about what's worse between these two disgusting situations is a big deal ?

National Guard activated in multiple cities to make sure they don't get converted into dystopian hellscapes. Meh, just some cans of tuna and insurance will cover it. Peak CVON.

We've had three months of talking about black peop... no i mean Antifa rioting and burning down the entire country. But for some reason you wont give any air to the story of your brethren trying to kidnap a governor and kill hundreds of cops and civilians. Weird...

trump tweeted LIBERATE MICHIGAN & some of his crazy supporters actually followed through & planned to kidnap the governor....but antifa!!!

This is exactly the point of what they're trying to do. It's blatantly obvious deflection. I mean, I get it, it's difficult for them to say "These violent psychos don't represent my side" when they've spent the last couple months painting other violent psychos as representative of the other side.

i have seen many of the libs on here continually denounce the rioting and violence. on the flip side i see the trumpers always saying yeah but when it comes to things like this michigan deal.

Right?

I mean... how hard is it? Maybe I haven't given Trump enough slack with these white nationalists?

I don't know what to tell you. They were told very specifically to stand down and stand by, and they did neither.

and no commentary on the seriousness of a group of people planning this ? no never ending posts from you with tweets from people denouncing this or maybe some background checks on those that have been charged ?

i mean that's how you usually operate and you always try to act like you're fair and balanced.

I condemn that anarchist domestic terror group in the strongest possible terms, and I strongly condemn violence from both sides in all its forms.
