I do love how the 49ers are imploding after the super bowl.   As for the Commanders, we can count on them to screw this up somehow.

Yes… Even though they are bringing back their core players, I don’t see them as a major threat in 2024. The Super Bowl lost hangover is a real thing. It’s a huge mental hurdle that most teams cannot handle. I don’t see them as being one of the teams that can… But we’ll see

Spotrac thinks DeAndre Swift's market value is $6.7M per -- 4 years and $27M total.  OTC has a 2023 valuation on him at $5.7M.

I'm inclined to think Howie isn't going to want to offer him a contract in that salary range; if he's not brought back, who do folks think would be a good investment at RB?  I mentioned Antonio Gibson the other day -- his estimated market value is $3.6M per.

I really think we end up singing Zeke and pair him with Gainwell. It's going to be gross.

Disappointed in this. Only .70! Do better Philly, aim for .80

It seems like this might not be accurate as a measure of drunkeness.  There should be a baseline BAC that is a comparison for each fanbase.  You can't assume that BAC for  everyone starts at .000%.  Certainly some fans of fan bases are more likely to be alcoholics and have a higher starting point.  Moreover, a hardcore alcoholic is going to have a higher tolerance for alcohol and not be as affected by it's consumption.

I hate you so much for even saying this.

They’re too fragile mentally. They cry about everything there.. I don’t expect them to contenders next year, I do think their window is almost shut.

Congrats!  Well deserved.  What will you be doing to keep busy?  Lots of hunting trips?

that would be underwhelming

Yes, and that's the weirdest thing ever.   Exactly what does Pinkston know about RUNNING with the ball?  Or blitz pickups?  Or... just wow!

Could have said the same about Reid with Marty.  Don’t have to have played the position to be the position coach. In fact, it might be better if he didn’t as he is not trying to make players as the mirror image of the coach but rather to their strengths, improve their weaknesses and fundamentals.  I think there is some truth to that regardless of what you are teaching.   The best teachers and  mentors I have had were doing that.  The worst were ones trying to produce mirror images of what they thought.

Gus Edwards carries the same estimated market value.  Less of a receiving threat and coming off his worst statistical season rushing, though.  The estimated values in the market appear to be:

Henry, Jacobs, Barkley -- $10-11M

Ekeler -- $7.5M (no f'n thanks)

Pollard -- $6.5M (ex-Cowboy curse)

Singletary -- $5.3M

Just re-sign swift and draft a guy. Keep it simple.

There are a decent amount of names but I'm not impressed by the class.

I thought maybe the team would have interest in Ekeler if he costs less due to familiarity with Moore.

But there's no one I'd like more than swift.

I see Barkley as overrated, abs Henry with a scary amount of mileage and age.

Other than them,  pretty much everyone is just a complementary back except for Swift.

Looking at those values,  your getting the only lead back  on the market who is still pretty young on a tier 4 contract- it's a very good value.

I'm afraid they may go with Pollard as a lead back due to his familiarity with Moore. Pollard isn't a lead back.

I agree with this. Take advantage of the RB market being so low and give him a 3-4 year extension. That way you don't have to worry about the position in a while (hopefully Swift staying healthy). Plus, Moore does like to throw to his RBs and Swift is among the very best at that.

With Swift being born in Philly, maybe there is a true hometown discount to be had.

I will be working part time for the same company in a "behind the scenes" capacity from home. For fun yes, I will be going on another moose hunt along with caribou this time and playing with my gand kids, biking, hiking, maybe check out the country some.

Meh, Lurie can go jump in a pond. PM me when he sells or dies.

Amid backlash from another incident, Jalen Carter says #49ers OL Jon Feliciano "spoke on [Jalen’s] dead teammate” during their Week 13 matchup, which led to him being emotional at the end of that game.

They already did that with Reddick two years ago.

Whatever, just kick their ass next time you play.

I mean I am still drinking the Kool-Aid.

We'll probably sign someone who has promise but their current team struggled so Howie expects they'll play better behind our Oline and then get a comp when they leave in the next offseason
