Rumor was they are looking for a 2nd

If all it takes is a 2nd to get Burns, the Eagles are dumb not to pull the trigger. Especially if they are able to trade Sweat and or Reddick. The contract will be a big one, but the return to bring him in is well within doable range.

Absolutely zero chance that pick 6 gets moved. Unless you think it’s Carolina trades 33 & Burns for 6. MAYBE, but I have a really hard time believing that happens even.

That's what I was leaning towards was 33 and Burns for 6 overall. I haven't read any of the rumors. @LeanMeanGM posted they're looking for a second.

Agreed. 2nd rd pick and Reddick. All day

So is there enough ball to go around for Brown, Smith, Goedert and now Barkley after putting a lot of money into him? Feels like someone is going to constantly be unhappy.

Hopefully Barkley doesn't need a ton of touches to be effective behind this OL and these WRs. Productive 5+ yards a carry and preserve him will be good enough. Either way there's no guarantees. This man could be dominant during the season put up big numbers, get in the playoffs/championship game and fumble like CMC did :(

6 is just way too valuable to me to see that trade go down. Giants would be better off offering that to a team looking to trade up for a QB

I think they go QB with that 6th pick. They can get out of the Jones contract after the 2024 season

I could be wrong, I thought I just remember seeing that. Quickly scanning Twitter I saw two 2nd round picks or the equivalent of a 1 also. We'll see.

. It's a business. Wasted his years and early career in NY. Best thing to do is to go ham during this contract... win a Superbowl and retire an Eagle lol.

I’m also unsure if a QB will even be there. If we assume Williams/Maye/Daniels go in first 3 picks, seems very likely right now, that leaves McCarthy & Nix. I think a team like Minnesota will trade ahead of NYG for him. Do they take Nix at 6? I’m all for it because I think it’s a bad move, but don’t see it happening

He's probably wondering why she's shaking her lower back at him cause there sure aint no a**

There's been a run on pass rushers. Once Burns get's moved it could get interesting with Reddick/Sweat

Gimme S Simmons, LB/S Chinn, LB Brooks, CB Moore, RB Foreman.

Its something that we made two pretty large free agent signings, and we still basically have all the same questions and roster holes.

DE is largely unsettled with the rumors of a Reddick and/or Sweat trade. Will Huff be a situational rusher here or will one of them be on the move? If Sweat moves, who plays DE? Pass rusher was addressed but DL may still have a gaping hole.

RB may be seen as mission complete by the eagles FO who cant evaluate RBs. But we shouldnt be satisfied with Gainwell backing up Barkley. A second, cheaper FA signing or a draft pick is needed here. Barkley may only be here 2 years. We will probably be looking for the out before his 3rd year after he misses a few games each year, and begins slowing down as he gets closer to 30. So a LEGIT #2 (not Gainwell) wouldnt be a bad idea to have right now. Gainwell can move down to 3, where he belongs.

Eagles arent signing anyone at LB other than cheap bandaids

Are we moving to a true 3-4? If so, couldn't Milton/Carter play end?

I dont think so.

If so, then yeah they could. But nothing indicates that they are.

This article sums up perfectly why I'm not a big fan of the Barkley signing or any big money free agent RB signing. The last time a top 10 paid RB won a Super Bowl was Marshawn Lynch in 2013. You can see the list of Super Bowl winners and their cheap running backs.

Overly reductionist. CMC was pretty damn close to winning it last year.
