So we traded the equivalent of a 4th round pick.

Gross

Yeah, but when he balls out we'll get a comp pick back so basically Howie is a genius.

The Thing - The Most Terrifying Monster in All of Cinema : r/horror

Devin White, one of the worst LBs last year:

He's only 26 guys! His entire career is ahead of him!

Pickett who's younger:

Worst trade ever!

They both suck, but it's funny

I'd rather have Pickett than Mariota though...maybe

Eh moving back 22 spots from late 3rd to like mid 4th isn’t all that bad but whatever I’m not going to pretend I like the trade or player

The trade chart (yes I know) says pick 98 is worth 108 points. We got pick 120 which is worth 54 points.

Wait didn’t people actually want Pickett? 🤣🤮

That dinner that Howie took Kenny on during the draft cycle finally paid off. The one that got away.

All of this is true.

They only played 5 games against Donald in his 10 years

Same boat as Was, ATL, Det, Min, No, NYG, Car…. But the best results.

in fact, only 2 teams in the entire nfl held him sack less: Philly and the Jets. He was getting AFC teams more often than the team he played 5 times

Skip really meant his tweet the other night

So 98 -> 120

Hate

Edit:  Fixed to be 120.  Of course steelers keep 119 to stay ahead of us.

Never saw it.

I never saw any of the OG star trek's or the ones from the 80's/90s.  My parents didn't allow it and I'm guessing it's because I was already weird\nerdy enough.  Looking back I don't blame them since I'm semi normal today :D

I did see the first and second new movie and enjoyed both and schmoopie had me watch the original movies up to and including the one with the whales.

Binky did you a favor.  You pretty much saw the ones worth watching.

I was about to type a counter response here but then it makes me feel like I’m defending the trade and that makes me feel a little gross

2 million and 2.6 the next two years

I don't like the trade because Pickett isn't good.

But the trade compensation itself is more than fine. Honestly, Trading a 3rd for a 4th and 2 7ths is a wash most years.

Top 100 pick is kind of valuable though. We drop 22 picks for a player who hopefully never touches the field.

I honestly don't believe that. And I like McKee.

I’m fine with FA days 1 and 2.  Everything since has been idiotic.

That 3rd rounder was such a great spot to pick up a WR or an OG. Dammit man. As each day goes by I like this offseason less and less and have no idea what in the world they're doing. Feels so reactionary and name-chasing.

Wonder if this had anything to do with it

It's 22 spots in RDS 3-4 in a top heavy, but not deep, draft.

My friend txt'd me to break the news.  "You guys traded for Pickett".   I instantly went into the first stage of grief and thought "Wait... maybe he meant Pickens?"

I basically wanted them to do this with a rookie instead where they use a third rounder on a backup to get him under a favorable contract and stash for a couple of years. Tired of them wasting $5-6 million a year on guys like Mariota. I like the philosophy of it, just don't like Pickett. I thought maybe McKee would have been that guy, but they view it otherwise.

Talent probably not too big of a gap. What Pickett has over him is a ton of experience. Howie values that a lot, why we’re not just drafting late round QBs every year instead of paying vets
