Im kind of indifferent.

Im glad we didnt open up a new hole/need on the roster.

At the same time, his lack of lane discipline was a real liability to the team last year.

He hasnt lost a step or anything. So I hope we get buy in from him to play within the system this year.

It could be what he just learned about his true market value has humbled him a bit. It could be a motivator during this contract year.

Man, how little do other teams think of Justin Fields.

Never saw it.

I never saw any of the OG star trek's or the ones from the 80's/90s.  My parents didn't allow it and I'm guessing it's because I was already weird\nerdy enough.  Looking back I don't blame them since I'm semi normal today :D

I did see the first and second new movie and enjoyed both and schmoopie had me watch the original movies up to and including the one with the whales.

Ah... Star Trek IV - the Voyage Home.   The chance to hear William Shatner say, "Double dope on you."   And Leonard Nimoy say, "the hell they did."

But, is this fair to Jalen Hurts?

He's a young cost-controlled backup with starting experience. 1/2 the price of a crappy Mariota. Pitt had a LOT of issues on offense with Matt Canada. They kind of F'd this kid without lube. Not a bad backup to have IMO and the cost was minimal. Would have done it? No. But I can understand the thought process.

Correct.

I believe he will be better here than he was in Pittsburgh.

And we don't need him to be our franchise QB. Just a capable backup. I think he will be that.

I can’t recall another guy who has been more media protected than him. It was always someone else’s fault, the OC, the HC, the talent around him, etc. He could never do any wrong. I mean he’s already three years into his career, the book is out. Sometimes the league shows you what they really think of a guy versus a media narrative. Reminds me of when they were trying to push Malik Willis as a top QB entering the draft.

Pickett is pretty average honestly but I guess it didn't cost as much as Fields would have.  Flacco probably would have been the cheapest backup option.   I'm still laughing at the media saying "Russell will compete for a Job".  Stop.   Once they signed Russ he was starting period.  Pickett someway mobile but there are other aspects of his game that clearly need work.  My issues is in two years he's have 13 TD's and 13 Picks. Again he's just been average.

Welp... Folks said that Howie would find a way to get into the 4th round.   And... he's done it!

Pickett is such a random trade

But it's not the worst thing ever

You must have missed the ESP tweet earlier this week.

I knew we would get action today.

Whoever it was that said they thought something big was going to happen today, how dare you!

They guarantee Sweats contract and trade a 3rd for Kenny Pickett and a 4th.

See what you've done?

Wow

Might be the worst QB in the league.  Just like with Mariota I'd rather McKee as the #2.

It's ESP so obviously lol

He's no threat to Hurts

Eagles just need to sign Xavien Howard to complete the offseason of "names casuals will know!”

I didn’t want them to take Hurts’ feelings into consideration for his backup because he’s been banged up at the end of the season three years in a row now. Similar to Wentz’s scenario, you lose the right to complain or be upset about moves like that when you can’t stay on the field or get hurt.

But this might be the most fair move to Hurts. Pickett poses zero threat and people won’t be calling for him unless Hurts turns into Zach Wilson.

Kenny Pickett runs. Running QB's are best. Good move.

Just getting that out of the way.

What's his RAS score and 40 time....

Heel rock is better than good guy rock. Also one of their better promos in a really long time

I don't care, this was one of my favorite plays that season
