  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

How about a Pickett-Bubb Means connection. Means with the 4th rounder we got on this year.  WR3.

I'm assuming they played together at Pitt. Unless means was a transfer.

Heel rock is better than good guy rock. Also one of their better promos in a really long time

I don’t know if they went this route by design or were forced to change course after the negative reception they received when they initially booked Rock vs. Reigns for Mania, but this has always been the right move. Rock is one of the greatest heels of all time in wrestling. And his extended social media promos have been really good.

Bringing the Kenny Pickett move and the Star Trek side conversation together.

Yup. This promo got better and better the longer you watched it. They needed some of this back. It’s what’s been missing for a while

Hurts? Or Pickett?

I'd say something here that's obvious but we all know you'll run and cry to the mods.

Left Purdy off

The offseason to satisfy Howie's OCD tinkering. He can't help himself with edge rusher. So let's sign Huff and shop Sweat and Reddick.

He can't help himself adding QBs and particularly once thought of as talented. So he trades down from his 3rd rounder to for a QB.

When is the DT coming? I bet Lurie had to Hannibal Lector restrain him from pursuing Armstead and Wilkins.

The only thing that will keep me from hating this trade is if the money saved at backup QB allows them to add Justin Simmons or another safety or corner or something.

Maybe Lurie threatened to fire Roseman so he's full YOLO at this point

I don't get the frustration here. A cost-controlled backup QB for this price is more than reasonable. That's what Pickett is. We're not asking him to start. And I don't even like Pickett.

I like the trade a lot. I'm tired of overpaid retreads. Instead, we have a young guy with a good arm, some experience, and a better situation than he had in Pittsburgh. He's got Moore to call plays instead of Canada, who was dreadful, and he's got way better skill position players.

You'd think he would make stronger moves at LB if that were the case

Either go high end backup or let McKee have his chance.  McKee looked better in preseason last year than Pickett has at any point in his pro career.

Keep the 3rd rounder and just roll with McKee. I'd rather have McKee and 98 than Pickett and 120.

Or sign Easton Stick for cheap, if that was doable. Waiting to see what money he got paid.

22 spots is a lot. We all know how it usually goes, there will be 8 or 9 players that make sense for the Eagles there that would be perfect, and by pick 120 they'll all be gone and then they'll trade down and take some low ceiling DT or something.

You get him for 2 years on a cheap deal with the option to pick up the 3rd year. Thats not that much to give up. Esp with how much these backups are getting today for scrubs. Hes pretty solid as a backup too with the option to use the same offense as Hurts.

Lets not forget if a team losses a starter early in the season we can move him for more then we paid. He would be one of the best options as trade bait out there in that type of situation.

I actually kind of like it.   It costs essentially nothing.   And its a cheap backup QB.  And, he's got to win the #2 job against McKee.  I'm all for the competition.  And if he loses it, and he refuses to be the #3 QB... then you cut him and have lost virtually nothing.    Low risk, high reward move.

Had to re-read that twice to confirm you didnt say what I first thought you did lol. I need new glasses.

The USFL was littered with players that looked good in the NFL preseason.

McKee looked better against 3rd stringers in preseason than a starting QB did during the season against a division with some great defenses? Wild

Agreed. If McKee can't beat out Pickett for QB2, then he can't be our backup anyway.

Watch us flip Pickett next off-season too.

Pickett was awesome in the preseason. Shows what that is worth.

If I thought he was good I'd be fine with it. I think he stinks. Give me McKee and the 98th pick any day. If Hurts goes down the season is over anyway.
