Yeah, no.  All of the brother shoves were like from the 1 or the 2, and should have been the job of a goal line specialist.  It's not the same as a passing TD.  I agree, both are valuable, but they are not the same.

Goal line specialists as in RBs? Yeah they don't get in at the rate that Hurts does. He is the ultimate goal line specialist in these situations.

I don't think the cap matters as much as we the fans think. The best thing Howie does is contract and cap work.

It's not some mystery. He just kicks the can and adds void years

Today I learned that with the Lions victory last weekend, the team with the longest drought now of not winning a playoff game is the Miami Dolphins. 23 years and counting. Holy crap.

Washington isn't far behind either. They are coming up on 20

This team is so predictable. We'll find out Sirianni isn't getting fired between 4 and 5 today.

and then do the season ticket price increases get announced?

It's a freaking joke to keep him. Everyone nationally with the exception of Jeffery and Howie are like that guy sucks or that guy brings nothing. To bring him back shows what a total clown we have as an owner obsessed with power.

Or, the media are wrong as is often the case.

It seems to work though and I don't think his cap work has hindered the team as much as what positions they prioritize. They easily could have brought back Epps and Edwards last year if they wanted. They just chose to give a boatload to Slay and Bradberry.

Would you rather kick the can and have dead cap with void years or would you prefer they be one of those teams that you see $50 million over the cap and they have find ways to make space every year. I don't think there is some magic answer but I think Howie does a good job. Plus it's not our money so we really shouldn't care if they have dead cap because in the long run, it doesn't seem to effect them.

BS. He's a POS. The MOFO has the worse defense I've ever seen and he defers the kick to start the game. Another example of him being a total clown.

Yeah. Siri is a players coach. They seem to genuinely like the guy and he seems to genuinely care about his players. He lands on the sword when his guys makes mistakes. They appreciate him taking the heat for when they F up (see AJ Brown's example).

Bradberry has a $9.64 million dollar guaranteed option due on March 13th. If they don't release him by then you'll know what their plan at corner is. There's no way they pick that option up if they don't plan to start him. You can't sit him when he's making over $12 million next year.

But the question still is, did anyone expect it to go THIS BAD?! Even the most negative person couldn’t have suspected this type of monumental collapse.

they made the playoffs

Trying to set the tone man! They held them to 3. That's a win in my book :D

You can definitely sit him.

I’m really bummed about it. Such an iconic brand. I’m so happy the Eagles won a Super Bowl while they still printed magazines. I have the Eagles’ Super Bowl cover framed in my basement.

I got the commemorative book, the Nick Foles Cover, the mini football.  All worth it.

You can but there's two certainties that there are with the Eagles:

1. Won't play rookies on defense if they're not on the DL unless if they're absolutely forced to.

2. The players with big contracts are going to play even if they suck

Anyone taking Lions -6.5?

You're not an Eagles fan, RAShole. They started 10-1 and made it as a wildcard after embarrassing losses to 2 of the worst teams in the league. Then they were destroyed in every conceivable way by a 9-win team.

They probably like him as a good guy that is good to them, but do they respect him as the coach?!

I don't see anything suggesting otherwise. Clearly needs some help from a coordinator perspective.

Word on the street that Sirianni's brother who is the D1 college coach is the next OC.

He can certainly be benched if someone out plays him. They'll keep him around for depth because why not given the potential hit.

It's fully guaranteed though, even though it's called an "option". It's Howie's way of pushing cap hits down to future years.

Idk, it just seems something happened in that locker room and Siri couldn’t stop the bleeding. There just has to be more than they all of a sudden played horrible and didn’t even try against the Bucs.
