  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Depending on what Driscoll,Stoll and Opeta signed for, the Eagles may be getting close to a comp pick.  Baun, Burks, Parker likely won’t count in comp picks because of the contracts.  4 to 5 possibly but most likely 4 to 2.

I think when eagles didn't make qualifying offer for Stoll that probably made him not count but not sure

I really want Legette in RD2. He's a freak that won't have to start right away.

Yeah, you get the sense he’s the most likely to be a multi time pro bowler outside the first round just because he’s so physically gifted that any maturation and improvement in his WR skills puts him over the top.

We've signed more than we lost.  From overthecap.com.

But that’s my point, Irvin didn’t have a choice because of Pearson. Jerry just said "you’re 88 and we’ll be giving out your number the moment you retire regardless of career trajectory”

I see the point you're making. But on the flipside, to be considered a part of a legacy the minute you're drafted has to be pretty damn cool too. Now it's up to that player to live up to expectations. The only one as of recent who hasn't was Antonio Bryant.

Good. Would be nice for a girl not to need two hands on me.

Yeah, who needs Simmons when we can have Nick Scott... <_<

The problem is that they view CJ as a safety.

Theyll start CJ and Reed as safety and thatll be a nice duo. With Brown and Scott backing up. Actually two safeties who can play defense rather than all the years we have had backup safeties who are just special teamers.

However, the secondary would be a heck of a lot nicer if they had Reed and Simmons at S, and CJ at nickel.

Malachi Corley — unique run after catch ability using both elusiveness and power. A RB with the ball in his hands. One of my favorite players in the draft. Second or early 3rd round.

Roman Wilson — top speed threat in the tradition of DeSean Jackson. Explosive in the open field, quick and dynamic wi the the ball in his hands. Second or early 3rd round.

Xavier Legette —Height/weight/speed freak of nature. If we want to start grooming an AJ Brown replacement, he would be an excellent option. Late 2nd or 3rd round.

Johnny Wilson — 6’6” 230 pound men should not be able to move like this. Reminds me a lot of Plaxico Burress. Late third, early 4th maybe?

Jacob Cowing — the traditional small, quick slot receiver. Good hands, impossible to cover when running short routes. Also has 4.3 speed, so offers a deep threat. Probably can be had in the 5th round.

Ainias Smith — smaller slot receiver. Effort/utility player who can line up as a RB, WR or PR. Very physical. Willing blocker and special teamer. Good after the catch. Late round, maybe UDFA.

This is a great draft class for WRs. There are tons of other players I like, but these are different types of players you could find at different areas of the draft.

My personal opinion is that I hate this list. Not because theyre bad players but this is a list of slot guys and you can find slot types later on in every draft. This draft is loaded with WR. But not just because of all of your slot guys, but also loaded with potential outside guys. Id rather get someone with the ability to play outside, who we can just deploy in the slot for now.

Pretty Ricky, McConkey, Rice, Franklin, Coleman, Burton, McMillan, Baker, Means, Casey Washington, Thrash, Janke brothers...

Other than Leggette who scares me with his lack of WR skills, the only one I can see as an outside guy might be Wilson. But if you deploy him outside, Im afraid you turn him in to a Kevin Curtis mediocre outside WR when he has the ability to be a truly elite slot.

I was thinking Rodgers might be the other starting CB. If hes good, we are looking pretty nice. But who knows.

Saw somewhere on Twitter Nick Scott got benched for missing 9 tackles in a single game.

This move is like 10 years in the making. We’re just on the wrong side of the 10 years.
