Kinda glad Scott got nabbed right when we had reported interest. Maybe it makes us move for Blackmon or Simmons now.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Who are you two talking about?

My personal opinion is that I hate this list. Not because theyre bad players but this is a list of slot guys and you can find slot types later on in every draft. This draft is loaded with WR. But not just because of all of your slot guys, but also loaded with potential outside guys. Id rather get someone with the ability to play outside, who we can just deploy in the slot for now.

Pretty Ricky, McConkey, Rice, Franklin, Coleman, Burton, McMillan, Baker, Means, Casey Washington, Thrash, Janke brothers...

Other than Leggette who scares me with his lack of WR skills, the only one I can see as an outside guy might be Wilson. But if you deploy him outside, Im afraid you turn him in to a Kevin Curtis mediocre outside WR when he has the ability to be a truly elite slot.

I can’t speak to the other guys but Wilson played as much on the outside as in the slot.

I couldn’t find anything about any Scott getting signed

Yeah. He might be able to do it. But Id probably prefer to see him in the slot in the NFL. You dont see guys his size dominating as outside WRs in the NFL very often.

Leggette and both Wilsons can definitely play outside. Johnny Wilson in particular is a PURE split end. Hes 6’6” 230 and is all about high pointing, body control, catch radius type playsz

Corley probably can as well, but I think you get the most out of him from the slot where he can catch high % passes and break off big plays after the catch.

The only pure slot guys are Cowing and Smith, who are 5th+ round picks. Smith in particular is more of special teamer and gadget guy than a traditional slot receiver.

I wonder if he was talking about last year...

he signed with the Bengals last year.

Well that settles that. Hes an off ball LB only

Wilson and Legette are pure split ends.

Corley plays in the slot mostly, and that’s his best fit, but I think he can play on the outside the same way that Deebo Samuel does. Hes the best comp for Corley that I’ve seen, and Deebo only plays in the slot about 1/3 of the time.

Probably. They just cut him a few days ago after signing Geno Stone

I dont really agree with most of that.

I hate people bringing up Deebo when they talk about Corley....

Why?

They are very similar players stylistically and in terms of body type.

He was a clear outlier of the crazy 2000’s

He would be the prize

Baun is likely a pass rusher honoring Hugh with the number.

I mean, Corley was a much better college player, but as athletes they are very similar. Do you really deny this?

yes. Corley doesnt come close to the strength of Deebo running with the ball. Corley looks better breaking weak tackle attempts of other small school defenders.

The real next deebo is Luther Burden. Hopefully in next year's draft.

Who hides it better, the NFL skit girl, or the AT&T girl?

AT&T GIRL Milana vayntrub

I don’t think you ever watched him play.

Last year Corley played against Ohio and went 8 for 88 and a TD. He played against Auburn in 2022 and went 12 for 99. In 2021 he played against Michigan State and went 7 for 69.

In all of these games he was clearly effective against big time football programs. Of course, he was limited by playing with a weak team.

But this nonsense about him not being able to hang with the big boys is disproven by simply watching him play against teams like Ohio.
