  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Landon Dickerson, 2nd round pick, just got 80M. Our drafts have been fine.

Jalen Reagor, 1st round pick, is on his 3rd team.   Our drafts have been rather inconsistent, and at specific positions, have been very much the opposite of fine.

I'd also like to see Jordan Davis live up to his draft status as the #13 pick.  The hope in his arrival was that he was more than just a wide body to clog up the middle.  Those types of NT you can get much later in the draft.  #13 DT needs to be a transformative player... a Vince Wilfork, if you will.   Davis so far has played 26% of the snaps in his rookie year.   And he played only 45% of the snaps this past year.   With the draining of the talent from DT this offseason, he needs to play a much bigger role and he HAS to stay on the field more, AND find a way to be effective while doing so.   Wilfork played 55% of the snaps at his size at the age of 35!  Davis, thus far, has not lived up to the hype.   He has 2 seasons left to show that they should bother to exercise the 5th year option.  This being his third year, it is a big season for him to either prove that they should... or show why they shouldn't.

Give us the K**l-A*d

I think McKinstry is a 1st rounder.  But I just watched Voch Lombardi and that other guy on with him who used to be a pro personnel scout for the Cowboys.  Neither of them think he's a 1st rounder.

Now with a foot surgery, he could be one of those surprise guys with great tape that you wonder why he is still available at the end of round 2.

That's my sense of it too. Not a great group of DBs, a decent crop of LBs with no one head and shoulders above the rest, a bunch of QBs of no interest to us, and that's about it. Teams with really good scouts and coaches who can develop raw talent will do well; the rest, not so much.

Ah crap!

Better stick to OL then.

When does the league stop the pretense and just go to wearing flags?

Liam Castellanos is up there.

They are betting he garners a third as a comp pick next year.  So value has to be more than that, I suspect.

If he leaves after next season, the pick would be in 2026.

Yup.  Which would be equivalent to a 2024 very late 5th round pick.

Future of the NFL.

How many automatic first down penalties exist now in the NFL?  IMO, WAY WAY too many.  And some of them for what I consider ticky tack infractions.

When does the offense get an automatic 4th down for a penalty they commit?   Maybe the illegal chop block should be a 15 yard penalty and an automatic 4th down.   Maybe OPI should be an automatic 4th down as well, since DPI is an automatic first down?  Or maybe award the ball to the defense at the spot of the foul, since that's what happens with a DPI... Offense gets possession at the spot of the foul?

Positive reinforcement is the best approach. Every play without a flag gets you 1 point.

If free agency is over, time to leave until after the draft, I can't deal with the inevitable deluge of mock drafts.

He wouldn’t have been bad.

So who the hell are we drafting?

I've been asking for him on our team for a few years.  Underrated back IMO

I liked hearing these guys discuss the WRs. Theyre lower on Burton than I am. High on Pearsall. Heard scouts compare McMillan to Rashee Rice. Some good stuff in here.

Could you imagine the point shaving implications and conspiracy theories that would swirl after that?
