Career kick return average of 31.7 yards in college.

Big  for when KR might be making a comeback in the NFL.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

But did you look at the RAS compare (as DE) though?

If you ignore the height, the weight and the bench - its pretty comparable. Hill just needs to dodge, dip, dive, duck and dodge under the OT arms when he pass rushes

Oh wow. Guess I don’t know ball.

He’s not going to sign or draft anyone to "show” anything.

He has limited resources and is trying to maximize the impact with those resources. We have 2 young safeties and CJGJ. Signing another starter at safety is goi by to block at least one of the young guys from playing, so I doubt it happens.

You have Blankenship who is literally always hurt and Sydney brown coming off an ACL injury. Bringing in another safety is mandatory

Pro day numbers show him to be a straight line athlete. Good 40, 4.41,  and jumps. Not good agility. Not the numbers youd expect from a potential riser at the nickel position. But it seems like he is just smart and knows assignments, and route combinations and knows where to be.

Not sure if this whole thing was posted. 9 minute video of Barkley's first 24 hours as an eagle. Pretty neat to see the tour of the nova care offices and stuff. And some wholesome Barkley family content.

I know it's overused but it is legit getting to the point where they might as well put flags on the players. You can't target the head, you can't target the knees, you can't hit a receiver immediately after they catch the ball, no horse collar tackles, and now they want to take away a specific tackling technique. Completely absurd.

Not that this means much, but the little I see about Hall on Twitter has been overwhelmingly positive. Seems like Raiders fans were confused why he didn’t play more.

He's probably an insurance policy against the young DBs not improving in camp. McPhearson coming off an injury, and the others were up and down last year.

100%

Eagles are a bunch more athletic on defense these days.

Huff has a get off that Usain Bold dreamed about. Gardner-Johnson is more athletic at safety than washed up Byard. Devin White runs low 4.4s. Cunningham had a great 40 time but appeared to have lost 2 steps for some reason. Baun runs a 4.6, as does Oren Burks. Not bad for your slowest LBs. This Hall guy runs a 4.41. Roby ran a 4.39 about a decade ago. Surely not that fast now. Maddox ran 4.3s also but cant even get on the field.

Not all of those guys are sure to have a big role on defense. But theyre all young, and upgrades in the athletic department.

Our D was too slow last year. It looks to be an issue that is being addressed.

I thought this Hall guy might have been a JAG but after doing a little bit of research he might actually be a good solution at slot corner. Definitely worth a serious look in camp.

They’ll bring in a cheap backup vet on a 1 year deal. They’re not relegating both young guys to the bench.

They almost have to be sniffing around Simmons hoping they can get him on a bargain one year deal. If that doesn't materialize you are probably right and they will bring in a vet like Eddie Jackson or Quandre Diggs as a band aid type just in case. Going into the season with CJGJ, Blankenship, and Brown who may or may not be ready for week 1 would be awfully foolish.

Why wouldn't the Raiders try to re-sign Hall?

I know the correct answer to that.

They are the Raiders.

Dude should come in and be the fave to start at NCB.

Nice find Howie.

Meow do it again at Safety.

Yeah, I mean if he’s willing to take a cheap 1 year deal, sure Howie will take the better talent at a marginally higher contract than a JAG, but we aren’t going to spend a lot of money or top draft picks.

They should if they want to win. Love Reed but he can't stay on the field.

How the heck are they going to know when a guy is falling down still trying to make a tackle vs the hip drop? It is getting absurd.

Yep, it will be impossible to legislate even remotely well. Furthermore despite the fact that some people have gotten hurt from it it's not a dirty play. If an NFL player is trying to tackle  from behind the only way to make the tackle is to drop and pull them down. Otherwise the ball carrier can just run their feet and drag the defender with them for extra yardage until another defender arrives.

One of them is relegated to the bench by default. Brown isn't playing significant snaps this season off a freshly torn ACL, especially given how raw he is. And CJGJ isn't exactly the pinnacle of health either, never played a full season. So 2 injury prone guys and a dude off a torn ACL, by week 3 the band aid will be getting significant snaps

The last one is the most impressive to me, after watching this defense last season.

It's been pretty absurd for a while now.  They are going to jump the shark soon.  This might be that moment.

He’s probably our top nickel on the roster. Not even a healthy McPherson has his resume/experience.

Eagles showed some decent results from another Wyoming DB snatched from another team.
