Siranni turned around a 4-11-1 team in one season and got them to the SB the next season. I doubt he's the doofus some try to make him out to be.

Of course he's going to have input into the offense, but you don't bring in someone like Moore unless you're willing to make major changes.

As bad as last year finished, they were still a top ten offense.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

I'd be stunned if it doesn't pass. It's good for the NFL, it'll make the deadline more active which means more eyes on the NFL, which they love.

Not sure who is not in favor of it, they need to stop being paranoid.

I'm guessing they think if the deadline is pushed back the bottom teams like Bears/Giants/Panthers etc will unload for draft picks and devalue the ratings of their remaining games. But that's kinda stupid logic as the people tuning into those games for bad teams will still tune in for whatever reason they originally were. It's not like the casual fan is going to say "Nah let's not watch the Giants after they dumped McKinney."

I think it means they believe there's better talent in the draft than some other options more expensive options in free agency.  If all we have at WR behind AJ and Smith are Campbell, Parker and Covey, I will be concerned that's not enough.

Problem is you don't know who you're gonna draft until the day afterwards.

So you want to plug all holes with warm bodies, then draft and sign UDFAs, then see who can play in camp before hitting the phones.

Howie should stick to BPA in the early rounds (later on, unless someone unexpectedly drops, most players are fairly even in talent). We've seen some ugly reaches.

They could just do that anyway though by cutting players or making up injuries for them. Teams should be allowed to get a sense of where their team truly is and make moves to better their position. And if teams suffer late season injuries, have options to improve. These concerns come off as overly risk averse and paranoid.

If we do trade Reddick for a pick would you then go after Clowney?

I am not saying they will reach for a receiver.  My guess is they think a WR will be the BPA when they have a pick available.  They have met with more WR's than any other position on offense.  My guess is, absent a big trade, they are going to pick at least one.  Here's the list per the board:

WR Cornelius Johnson (Michigan) -- East-West Shrine Bowl
WR Xavier Legette (South Carolina) -- Senior Bowl (formal)
WR Ladd McConkey (Georgia) -- Senior Bowl
WR Ricky Pearsall (Florida) -- Indy Combine (formal)
WR Brenden Rice (USC) -- Official Visit
WR Devontez Walker (North Carolina) -- Senior Bowl
WR Roman Wilson (Michigan) -- Senior Bowl
WR Xavier Worthy (Texas) -- Indy Combine (formal)

Like as in fight him?

That's a weird way to count his carries, given that he missed almost an entire season to an ACL injury.   He has averaged 16+ carries per game in his career.   That equates to 275 carries.  And, adding in his receiving touches, he gets 20 touches a game, that's 340 touches a year.   Swift averaged just under 17 touches a game.

Now, if you project that the Eagles should be more capable of sustaining drives than the Giants were with the likes of Tommy Cutlets and Daniel Jones at QB... we could see those numbers go up a little bit for Barkley.   Eagles have averaged 3-6 more plays per game than the Giants over the last 4 years.   The opportunity is there for Barkley to be a centerpiece, if they want to commit to him as such.   AND... given his contract, it seems unlikely he's here to be a decoy.

uhhh I didn't include his ACL injury year...

Also, if he only had 1 year playing 16 games...let alone 17, how is he going to accomplish that exactly?

His allegations were pretty bad, so this makes sense. I wonder if they make a play for Sneed now. Also a team that could trade up in the 1st for a CB.

I don’t think so. He should be much more effective than Swift, and I think we all saw a terrible utilization at RB last season. Should look better under a real OC who calls more than 3 passing and 2 running plays.

The homers literally say the same thing every offseason, "it was the OC's fault! now we got a real one!" ...then week 5 comes around..."FIRE XXXX"

W/o Kelce at C, will the push still be that effective?  Obviously, it is not just about Kelce.  Hurts is a key part of it.  Junkens is also a big OL, should have the tools to get it done.

This is a bit irrational, I acknowledge...

But I feel pretty uncomfortable that the Eagles draft picks now are so similar to 2019. Pick 22, pick 53, another pick in the 50s, no 3rd rounder. Yuck, they completely whiffed that draft.

Is that the 40-Whiner window I see beginning to shut? He sure wants out of there since they lost Superbowl by looking at all social media since. Gonna be fun watching their demise next year. Just about everything fell right for them this past year and still blew it all. They are getting older and will probably be injured by end of next year. And offensive line is average at best. Looking forward to Brock Purdy's monumental contract next offseason. 😉

NFLrums is a fake account like that Wesley Steinberg. Block it and move on. They post constant made up and fake rumors for click bait.

Problem is his two biggest veteran supporters retired. It may not mean anything ultimately, especially if they are winning, but it is something I think about. Most fans are tired of hearing about dog mentality or the 5 core principles, I'm sure some of the other younger players are as well.

That was the same sentiment around here in 2007 with "We’re fine there” and "I’ve gotta do a better job”.

When we’re losing it’s annoying, and when when we’re winning it’s fine

Nope. He's been streaky his entire career and he's a ****.
