I don't think they can draft at an EDGE at 22, unless they have already traded Reddick. A big advantage of trading Reddick is having the open roster spot and truly letting you go BPA.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I'm not sure about thoroughly annoyed, but I'd be a bit edgy for sure.

EDGE at 50 or 53 I could definitely see happening, highly doubt it happens at 22. But the visit with Latu is interesting

Career stats mean little today. Mariota was never a good QB and now he's a straight up bum. Today's Pickett >> Today's MM. Also supporting cast matters.

How is Pickett? People that claim Pickett is better than any given QB dint have any argument eith substance to back it up other than them just saying he is.  Hes been awfully ineffective in 24 career starts.

I’ve already decided we are drafting a corner at 22, then in round 2 we’re picking a guard and WR. Steen then moves to swing tackle. Bing bang boom.

Parris Campbell, the prospect, is basically an absolutely perfect prototype for what we want in our #3 wr.

Blazing deep speed, great quickness to make people miss and be a weapon underneath…all packed into a study and strong frame.

You literally couldn’t draft someone outside of round 1 with those traits.

Hes been injury prone and hasn’t lived up to his physical talent, but I don’t think you can do any better for a #3 flier.

Hes also a nice complement for Parker.  Campbell is more exciting, does more with the ball in his hands, gets open.  While Parker is so slow halftime will be over by the time he can get to the locker room, he’ll reliably be in the right place and will do what he can to secure the catch.

Campbell will replace Quez and Parker will replace Julio.

he was also better last year.

but the argument was - "we're getting Pickett because he costs less"

and that's true

part of the upside of having a better backup QB is that the fans are happy.  but Eagles fans don't have the ability to tell better from worse,  so you might as well save the money.

I’ll be disappointed if they don’t draft 2 cbs with their first 3 picks.

The OL situation depends on conversations they better be having with Lane.  I don’t want to Andre Dillard / Nolan Smith another first round pick and draft a RT just for Lane to play another 3 years while he sits the bench.

Also depends on whether they expect Steen to really be the RG.  Steen was a pretty rich draft pick to just be a swing backup.

I didn't think much of his signing, primarily because of last year. I watched his 2022 highlights and he really was dynamic when he had Matt Ryan throwing him the ball. If he can play at that level, they have something. But outside of 2022, he hasn't been anything great. I hope they don't think he's the answer and ignore the WR talent in this draft.

I think if they don’t go OT in round 1 they may not go OT at all. But I still think around 1 will be CB or OT. I think the first 4 picks will have some combo of CB, OT, OG, WR, LB. I only think they’ll go LB in round 2 is a stud like Cooper falls to them though.

I still think they may acquire an outside CB before the draft at some point so they don’t go into it too needy.

For example, I can tell you that you're "worse" than:

  • Non-alcoholic beer
  • Grown men who like My Little Pony
  • Running out of TP in a public bathroom stall
  • The crust in the corner of your eye upon waking up
  • New Coke
  • JJAW

Guess we're sitting this one out.  Any updates on Junior Colson's Pro Day workouts?

Eagles have taken shots at former high draft picks several times this offseason. Barkley, White, Campbell even. Lattimore and Horn would continue that trend if they traded for either.

We can draft an edge, but he would need to be a bigger DE who plays with his hand in the dirt, not the hybrid LB/EDGE position that Reddick, Huff and Smith play.

Frankly, with Graham in his last season I kind of expect it, even with Sweat’s new contract, though it will probably be a later pick.

 You're probably right. That was overly harsh.

Look closely at the top right corner

I’m not sure if I or anyone else has brought it up but anyone also think Graham Barton might be a dark horse pick at 22?
