This will be dumb

Yeah, gonna be awful.  Watch how often it gets called on 3rd and long trying to tackle a guy before the 1st down marker.

7 out of 10 Howie's - drafting an OL too high and the lesser sibling in a pro sport are on point.  Bonus Howie awarded for "Just the" Tip Reiman.

They need to allow challenges on every 15-yard penalty.  Facemask, roughing the QB, illegal tackle, etc.

These types of penalties are too impactful not to try to get it right.

They should be automatically reviewed by the "sky judges" already. It might add a whole minute or two onto games on average and they can get even more commercials in.

Or instead of going to commercial they can do what they used to do and go over it in replays

🤨

Well he's under contract so it would have to be a trade if the Eagles got him.

Thats interesting. The guy hardly has a stat to his name. No idea what the move would be, or what the plan with him would be.

some comments suggest it is in relation to a Future album?

Any word on the kickoff rule? The one rule that actually could make the game better?

I was thinking the same thing.  Linebacker depth?   What would we trade for this?

As a person that enjoyed the XFL a lot, I'm a huge fan of that kickoff rule and hope it becomes a part of the NFL.

Barely any wiki page and the stats aren't much

Quick read on Asamoah, seems his strengths are blitzing and coverage. High athletic traits, but undisciplined. Seems to be a common theme among Eagles LB pursuits this offseason. Edgerrin Cooper would fit the bill as well.

Went 17 picks before Dean.

Not gonna waste time doing anymore research until we find out if he's actually an Eagle or not.

If they trade for a Vikings LB, Ivan Pace would still make me happy.

Think he got injured and lost his job to Pace

I doubt it's a trade. You have every coach, GM and tons of reporters in the same building right now. It would leak or be reported by now.

Probably just another player being stupid.

I think his perception that he's a liability against the run, obviously we'll see that, but we know he has the tools in his body to make a difference and we're excited about him."

I wonder if ZB misquoted him there because that's a really weird quote for a GM.

What I take from that quote is the Eagles are still taking EDGE if they think it's BPA at #22 -- regardless of having Reddick, Huff, Sweat, Nolan Smith, etc.

And people on here will say he's a genius

Don't worry guys, the NFL's officials are top notch when it comes to deciphering what is and isn't a penalty. To make things even more confusing, there are LEGAL hip drop tackles. What's more likely, officials call more penalties erroring on the side of caution or they don't call it because they can't tell what it is? I'm leaning towards more called penalties. Guess what an extra 3 minutes of officials discussing a penalty means...COMMERCIALS.

Um, Rich, you might want to read your own fing rule.  Contract construction 101, and means inclusive. The rule says the defensive player must swivel and land on the player’s lower leg(s) beneath the knee.  So 4) And land on the offensive player’s lower leg. So a hip drop that doesn’t result in landing on the offensive player’s lower leg isn’t illegal.  McKay should have been retired two decades ago.

Add any automatic first down as well.   Or, crazy idea... limit how many of those penalties there are.  🤔
