How come nobody posted about p Diddy in here?

Why? Who cares about celebrities anyway?

I listen to Wagner, don't care if he was a-hole, same with writers, actors, etc. I don't deal with them on a personal basis, so I only care about their product/art.

Feel the same way about athletes, off the field it's their life, as long as it doesn't affect their play it ain't my business (now the police, that may be a different matter!)

[Now since I don't care for rap/hip hop (or most punk, heavy metal, electronic dance music or hard bebop jazz), I have even less reason to care about Diddy.]

Don't get the fascination with people who wouldn't give you the time of day, a dollar or a kiss. To me they don't exist as people anymore than I exist to them.

I was watching Parris Campbell’s NFL highlights video and was surprised to see that he seems to play "big” out there - bigger than his 6’0 stature - which is rare for a speedster.    If he stays healthy, I think he has the potential to make something of himself here.

It's before the draft, so Howie and Siri are not going to make any unnecessary, definitive statements.

Built in excuse when they use a 1st and a 2nd to move up for an IOL 🤡

I think there's a difference between being an a-hole and being accused of running a sex-trafficking ring.

I just want to be kept informed.

My biggest issue with the new hip-drop ban is that it's just adding more variables to the refs' plate. These guys can barely rule what is a catch or pass interference, and now we're going to most likely have games decided by what's considered a hip-drop tackle and what isn't. Every single tackle from behind is going to be scrutinized. All these changes they're making to the rules, having two games on Christmas, opening week games in Brazil, exclusive stream games, and they still can't fix what the biggest issue with the game is and that is the officiating.

(If only I knew how to make that say Roger, instead.)

The rest from Sunday to Thursday is also a health and safety concern.   But, let's talk about the increase in that concern when they are playing on 6 days rest the week before playing on the 4th day.

They could if they just committed more effort into the expedited review process (that already exists). Seems like the refs don't like to be told that they're wrong though.

He already has void years through 2027. By rule they could add one more with a restructure.

Just convert $13mm of his $14,250,000 base salary to a signing bonus and amortize over 4 years (2024-2027). Drops his cap number by $9.75mm this year I believe.

Wagner was a bloviated gasbag. And a-hole is way too kind a word. In the field of music, I refer you to his essay on Mendelssohn. Once you’ve read it, no more need be said.

Will be interesting to see who it ends up being. Now that we know it's on Peacock you would think they will make it more of a marquee matchup. I'm not sure Browns/Eagles fits that bill.

My bet is Packers

The difference with streaming services is you can sign up for 1 month and cancel. Peacock is $5.99 per month at the cheapest package.

Cable/satellite requires a contract, cancellation fees, equipment fees, physical installation, cable box/satellite, cords and you don't get all the channels you want unless you get the highest tier.

You're paying a service to watch ESPN games. MNF used to be on ABC for free, then moved to ESPN which requires you to pay for it.  If you watch on the "free" networks and have cable you're paying for that too. If you don't have cable, you have to purchase an HD antenna for local networks, which is spotty in many areas and doesn't always give you all the channels.

You've been paying to watch football your entire life. Streaming services are just the new method. They need to figure out options for fans to purchase their entire team season pass and share resources.

How has this not been figured out yet, but the Eagles have?   🤦‍♂️

Thats been my guess since it was first apounces Eagles would play in Brazil.

In its own perverse way the league has done the Eagles a favor. If you have to play abroad, it’s much better to play at the start of the year rather than the middle. Plus, its only a one hour time difference.

Not sure if this would have any bearing on them moving Horn or not.

Because it's a home game!

Can you imagine though paying for season tickets and after the fact learning one of the home games is in Brazil? I know there's no monetary difference paying for season tickets while knowing one of the games is in Brazil, but the former would piss off people way more.

Well, now we know why they didn't convert his salary into a signing bonus and free up ~18mm in cap space. If he walks after this year, they have just over $40mm of dead money on the 2025 cap and didn't want to push that to almost $60mm. But without it, they have basically gutted the team (no LT, C or RB, lost pass rushers, need LBs). It honestly feels like Dallas is going to hit the reset button after this year and move forward with Parsons, Lamb and Tyler Smith as cornerstone players.

Sadly, this may be the 1st smart thing they have done in a while. Committing big money to a QB who will be 32 next season, and couldn't get past the Wild Card round on a team with 8 other all-pros, would be suicide. So I was hoping they would...

It will be fun to see all the "analysts" on ESPN have a meltdown, but this is the right move by Dallas. Move on from the Prescott era.

Yeah... that's so much better.
