 He's already a 2-time All Pro at Guard. He ain't getting moved. Stop it.

Is the $5 or whatever it is hitting hard?

Right and I made it clear it's not happening but maybe they were thinking about it if Jurgens can't cut it.

Also in the event Jurgens misses games just like last year, who's playing Center?  Dickerson.   Hopefully Jurgens won't miss any games.

He also said he just read the Peter King article that predicted Browns and assumed that as truth but didn't know. Hard to tell if he's lying or not though.

Hennessy would play center if Jurgens is out.

You don't move Dickerson unless you have no choice.

Hennessy probably if it's long term. They might slide Dickerson over in a pinch in game if Hennessy isn't dressed but I'd be surprised if they moved Landon there full time.

Caller on WIP just now:

"Alright guys, I'm gonna break down this Schwarber situation. Schwarber hit 100 RBIs hitting lead off with no one in front of him. You move him down to 3rd and he'll hit 300 RBIs. It's simple math. Because he'll be hitting with guys on base."

He called in super confident too. The dumbest callers are always the most confident in their takes.

Schwarber should be a #5 hitter every day.  While the caller reaches the point of hyperbole, it IS pretty ridiculous to have a guy batting leadoff who leads all of MLB in strikeouts.  You're not setting the table at all striking out 215 times; a strikeout is a completely useless at-bat.  They put him there "because he walks a lot" -- big deal -- the strikeouts cancel out that benefit.

Let Marsh or Stott lead off; Marsh has a better OBP, can steal a few bases (and Stott stole 30 of them last season).  Put some pressure on the opposing defense instead of trying to put them to sleep.  If Schwarber hits 46/47 HRs from the #5 spot on this Phillies team, he should be closer to 130 RBI.

That was a late notification from the app about Lurie's PC

Obviously need to see the draft and the rest of FA, but I'd be shocked if Hennessy was inactive given his center/guard versatility.

Just me or does Lurie look different somehow in the PC?

I'd be surprised if Henessey weren't dressed.  Then again, Siri seems to be playing coy... they might draft 3 centers with their first 3 picks.

Forgot about Hennessey being a G/C.  Was thinking he's just a Guard.

Sirianni confirmed on the hot seat with that answer.

Agreed, that's just the one scenario I can think of that Dickerson would be playing C

I can see the argument if you wanna switch him and Turner from the 1-2 spots but move him down to 5? That is crazy talk.

I get some don't like Sirianni but people will look for any little thing to complain about him.

Results to me are all that matter.  Not press conferences or interviews.

If the team struggles again then he'll be out.

But how hard is it to say we drafted Cam Jurgens for this moment?  We have full faith in Cam coming in and taking over where Jason Kelce left off. Yes, results matter, but at the same time, the whole competitive advantage of not wanting to give away things is just plain silly.

Cam Jurgens was a stud at Center and looked the part in his rookie year.

It's funny listening to Howie and now Lurie try to say they always valued RB's and paying them, and then reference Brian Westbrook and LeSean McCoy. That was 16 and 12 years ago.

Maybe it's just me, but this looks like it's just putting lipstick on a pig. I don't see how greatly improved this makes kickoff returns with so little space.

I think I'm one of the only ones who's legitimately excited about the rule. Keep in mind the XFL coaching and players aren't the same as NFL. I'd imagine NFL coaches are going to have a field day creating different types of plays and it's going to once again put an importance on having good returners. No more Boston Scott waving for a fair catch or watching the ball roll out of the end zone. It's going to be a play again and it's going to have an impact. Yes, it sucks that the onside kick is now announced so the surprise onside kick is gone. Let's be glad we had one of the best in David Akers and can always remember that.

I didn't think Lurie confirmed it. He tried to generalize that every coach is on the hot seat for an upcoming season but he also brushed it off

But he didn't swivel his hips. He only twisted them. That's how it works right? The refs have to determine a swivel vs not swivel. I'm sure they are going to be great at that.

Someone asked him directly if Sirianni was on the hot seat. Lurie rambled on and said something to the extent every coach is under pressure to perform every season. He never outright said no.
