Sucks that Jason already lost like 20 pounds. He’s gone 😞

Olineman don’t come back mid season. That’s QBs and RBs and WRs and DBs. Guys who don’t need to balance their diet around being 70 lbs overweight

Rosenberg must have a great agent. I've never seen Garafolo, Fowler, Rappoport and other national media sing praises for a VP of a team

Part of it is Howie and the Eagles pushing the story.  This story helps the team attract talent.

Stop being surprised when Nick or Howie give vague or non-committal answers about roster positions that aren't fully decided yet. They don't want any comments to affect draft strategy. They also might not fully know until they see the players in camp and preseason. It's also not quite fair to players that are brought in who might want the chance to compete for a starting role. Jurgens should be the starting Center which is what he was drafted for but no point in saying that now. What if they decide to keep Jurgens at RG and Hennessey at Center? Who knows. New OC, lots of new players and there's no need to name a starter in March.

Those who’ve been around the Blog for a while are familiar with my mantra: you pass with tackles and you run with guards. That still holds true.

In terms of OL, we have five starters, counting Steen, and a lot of questions behind them. I like Hennessy inside but after that, I have questions. IThere are a number of promising tackles and I expect and hope we draft one in the first. Seven guys who can play is the absolute minimum for an OL. Someone said we shouldn’t draft a tackle when Lane has four more years. I don’t want to call them out for silliness so the poster shall remain nameless. But four years? Really? And what do we have if either Lane or Mailata misses time and we don’t have a legit tackle to put in? The wheels will come off.

Have you looked at the kid from Yale, Kiran Amegadjie?

I think he would be a good candidate for either OG or OT. 6’4” 320 and supposedly very athletic. Missed a bunch of time between COVID, injury, and not starting to play until he was a high school sophomore. So, raw, but big potential.

A buddy of mine played for Yale back in the day is a bit of a booster, and keeps in contact with the athletic department. Had a lot of good things to say about Kiran.

Seems like he’ll be a 3rd round pick who might slip into the 2nd round because of his upside.

Yes sir moderator. Oh wait

With the money the Eagles have, I think signing a guy like Runyan would have been a solid move. He's a plug and play RG and while he isn't an amazing player, I think he would have been a steady peformer there.

The more I see this video the more I think he'll be ok in the NFL. It would be funny if he was flamboyantly effeminant and openly gay.

It's ridiculous to consider a 3rd round pick a "premium" pick.

Top 65 is pretty premium.

That's true. People like myself sometimes forget it takes time for players to develop.

I try to give rookies at least 3 weeks.

Even funnier if he was as good or better than Mahomes. Those people wouldn't know what to do

What are your thoughts on Garret Greenfield from South Dakota State? Someone I think we can get in round 3.

Im more interested in an early guard- namely Id love to get Powers-Johnson if he is available to play at guard.

I can deal with a developmental OT for now. And if the team isnt thrilled with the prospect of him stepping in just yet Im a little interested in signing Dillard for cheap at this point (I think he is still available).

Greenfield is at 195 / 6th round on mock draft database.

The Eagles have a bunch of picks in the late 5th.   Perhaps Greenfield?   I don't think the Eagles should be drafting him in the 3rd.

The Eagles lost 3 OL,  they replaced 1.  Seems reasonable to think the Eagles might get 2 OL.  But I don't necessarily think they need to spend a day 1 or 2 pick on them.  Maybe.  But maybe not.

Any pick in the top 100 is a premium pick.

From the time they were drafted, I agree. No sense wasting time.

Reddick, 22 and 50 for pick 4. 50 and 22 are worth 1180 combined. Pick 4 is worth 1800. No idea what a player value is in the trade. Probably not nearly enough.

However, Atlanta at 8 is worth 1400. If the Falcons are still intrigued by Reddick. Would you trade 22, 50 and Reddick to jump to 8?

Dallas Turner, Rome Odunze, Quinyon Mitchell, Brock Bowers, Malik Nabers, Terrion Arnold are all Blue Chippers who should be available at 8.

That's a top-5 funniest movie of all time, I love it.

The NFL needs a personality like Caleb Williams.  If he's this way off the field, and he's must see TV on the field, then this guy might be the next Joe Montana.

Well, everything you just said is how they've been treating the back 7 for the last 3-4 years.

Put way too much faith in Maddox staying healthy. Handed the job to Blankenship in year 2 with no competition aside from Justin Evans and Terrell Edmunds. Were free of Bradberry but brough him back and gave him way too much money.  They did finally draft DB with potential in Ringo and Brown but at the same time, two extremely raw prospects.

LB...I won't even get in to, we know the mess that is. The only LB that was worth a damn was Christian Ellis, and that was mainly because of his ST play and they cut him mid-season.

Howie has shown he's going to throw as many low risk darts ad the dart board as he can. This goes back for yearrrrrrs. It seems every year, there's an article written about Howie being so great at finding players in the trash heap at CB. UDFA, 6th and 7th round picks, low low risk trades that amount to nothing. Even Darius Slay was a low investment at a 3rd and 5th.

I don't expect anything to change with Howie's approach.

Youre pointing out all moves that were made last year, which is my point. Go look at the super bowl years and look at the back 7. None of those dudes were trash heap pickups

2017: jenkins, mcleod, darby, mills (this is the only howie gamble in that back 7), robinson, bradham, kendricks.

Last season: Epps, CJ, Slay, Bradberry (regardless of last season at the time of his signing was a legitimate pickup), Maddox, Edwards, White

None of those guys were garbage pickups and they were all at least above replacement level, and most of them were actually good. They HAVE invested in the back 7 before (and recently!), and with great success, which is why it's so frustrating that they're not doing it now.

Slay was a legitimate high end corner, that wasn't a low investment just because the lions took an insanely low return.

I'm not seeing the player I'd do all that for. I covet Mitchell, Arnold slightly less, but I wouldn't do all that for them.

He will not last till the 5th.

Well that doesn't sound like a resolution is anytime soon.

I don't understand what he is implying with that last sentence. Is he just stating the obvious or is he suggesting Eagles are unwilling to even give him a bump/restructure?

Resolutions?!  We don't need no stinkin' resolutions!

Yea, this draft doesn't have a whole of of must have guys for the Eagles needs unfortunately. A lot of guys that I'm just meh over. I've yet to develop any draft crushes who I would love the Eagles to have or be pissed if an Eagles rival picked them. Two things would make me do it. Marvin Harrison Jr. drops to 8 or a QB falls and the Eagles could swoop in and then swindle another team for more picks. Harrison isn't dropping to 8 and Scenario 2 seems too much like Draft Day and I don't think there are enough pancake eating mfers in the league right now.
