I don't see an issue with Reddick moving on but the Eagles and fans being thankful for his contributions. It's likely a SB appearance would not have happened but for Reddick's hit on Turdy and other in season sacks etc.  And seems to be a good dude.

If the Jets eventually want to pay him above the contract, that is entirely for them to do now he is their player.

Well they can't vilify Howie because he's never wrong

Probably no one has to be vilified.  Anyone pretending that is what is happening has their own agenda.

Where do you put Reddick in the top 11 here?

If you move Hunter and Hendrickson towards the bottom he’d be in that group.

Didn't do anything at combine other than bench.  Same with pro day.  Guess has some kind of hammy issue going on.  Was a top 60 or so recruit coming out of high school

Working out on the 14th. Only ran routes at the Texas pro day.

He will post good numbers.

Disagree strongly.  Eagles were rolling San Fran that day, even with Purdy playing 60 minutes.

If Reddick refused to play out his contract I’m okay with the trade. Huff, Reddick, Smith, Sweat +1 would’ve been an excellent pass rush rotation. They messed up last year extended both Bradbury and Slay to multi-year deals. These next few years were going to have to be creative and finding youthful gems that can outplay their contract, like Reddick and Hargrave did.

Somewhere between Montez Sweat and Hendrickson?

Agreed... no QB was surviving that game. That DL was going nuts. Which makes the Super Bowl so Fd up. F you grounds people F you.

They were, but it was his hit on Turdy that essentially halted that game as a spectacle. It was done.  And the same player who recovered the Johnson fumble when it was 14-7 to the Eagles

Isn't he really bad one year then really good and then really bad?  So this year maybe he will be good again

Who would you rather have Jaden Hicks or Dominique Hampton?  Both bigger safeties with pretty equal measurements

Vilifying Reddick to justify the trade is weird

When a guy signs a contract that he refuses to honor, it sometimes ends up like that.  Do you blame him?  He could probably justify getting $5mil to $10mil more per season based on his recent performance.

First time trying the draft simulator…rejected all trades my first time around just to see what would happen.

How many Howie’s?

I like it. What website is that simulator on?

He got traded. How does he honor the contract when he got the boot?

Disagree with your disagreement. The game was close in the beginning but became such a blowout it's remembered more fondly.

Eagles scored on the first drive (thanks to a missed drop call on 4th down) and followed that up with:

Punt (after recovering a fumble at the 50) - 3 and out

Punt - 4 and out

Punt - 3 and out

Defense gives up a TD, tie game 7-7

Purdy was knocked out their first drive when they were about to cross midfield and we followed that up with 3 straight punts with no sustained drives. Fortunately, they had Josh Johnson so they matched our punts with punts of their own. It might be a very different game if 49ers score once or twice on those drives. The game got out of hand once they lost both Purdy and Johnson (both thanks to Reddick) and the 49ers just became completely demoralized.

But not surprising from some.

He asked for the trade.

Agreed. SF may have scored more than 7, but we weren’t being denied that day. Reddick would have gotten him again.

There's still no reason to vilify him. He wanted more money after he thinks he out performed the contract. He has that right. Eagles didn't want to pay him more. They have that right. So he got traded. It is what it is, like he said, business.

And if anyone has a problem with him refusing to honor the contract, I guess that means Eagles have to pay Bradberry this year and next year to "honor the contract".

Yeah... sorry about that.   That was my fault.   He gave me the card to send to you.  But, instead I just tossed it out and laughed maniacally as I did it.

It sounds like that might be a reality too. There was a quote last week, I think from Howie, that made it sound like it's an option. I think we all assume he's going to be a post-June 1st cut, and Howie might just be saying all of the right things, but I wouldn't be shocked now to see them bring him back.
