Tobias has to be the worst multi-year starter I’ve ever seen.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

If the "up to” is mostly about playing time we couldn’t compete with that.

I see someone already linked you to it…yeah it’s a fun tool to play with.  Trades are possible too, but it looks like only ‘draft pick’ trades are available (no player for pick trades I mean).

I was pretty happy with that draft simulation that I did with no trades.  Although I’d like to hear @just relax’s opinion on Jordan Morgan to be sure.

If a top 2-3 CB fell to #22, I’d probably take him this year.  If not, I’d probably do what I think the Eagles will do and target a good OT.

I appreciate your kind thought. FWIW, I’m not a fan of Morgan, certainly not that high. He reminds me of Driscoll, with essentially the same shortcomings. Strictly a guard, and not a power guy. In baseball terms, he’s a catcher, not a pitcher.

Its early for this kind of thing because surely there are more visits taking place, but I read today that some in the eagles organization are raving about DeJean.

Considering how free agency had a bunch of leaks, these are things to pay attention to.

Tarron Jackson still on roster?

Don't know much about him.  What's his deal?  I've seen him listed at CB and at Safety.

He’s AWFUL. He has no offensive consistency. He has about the offensive prowess of any random YMCA pickup player.

Post up, back down fade clank.

wide open 3 clank.

pick and roll, into open space airball.

Hes a CB who is white with supposedly slight hip stiffness. So people project him as a safety.

He is good enough in man coverage despite the hips. He supports the run very well. And can play any position in the secondary. But the vast majority of his snaps have come at outside CB.

He was a state champion track guy in HS. Hes not Wiggins 4.2 fast but hes probably capable of 4.3s.

He also holds the state record in basketball for points scored, which broke Harrison Barnes' record.

Uber athlete despite his whiteness.

He has not been forgotten per say but hes flown a bit under the radar while these other prospects have participated in all star bowls and the combine while he has rehabbed from injury.

His workout for teams will be on the 8th, I believe.

Hes a mismatch player.

If he was the top guy on a team, a coach would work to get him on a smaller 3, or a less athletic 4. He can post up a smaller 3, and he can blow by a less athletic 4.

On a team where he is just a role player, hes not a good enough shooter to just be a shooter. And there are other guys here to run the offense through so youre not going to create those mismatches for him very often that he needs.

He can thrive when he gets his mismatches. But thats not here.

He’s fast and can get deep, but he doesn’t run to daylight very well when he gets the ball on shorter routes.  Dynamic and explosive is subjective

If the Eagles don’t take anyone in the back 7 with their first 3 picks we might as well just chalk up that they are OK with having a putrid defense, which they might be anyway.

They can’t fix the defense in one draft. Too many holes and question marks. They’re only going to be decent if Huff is what we hope and Nolan, Carter, and Davis take huge next steps. Still have massive question marks at CB and LB even if they all step up.

Why? Hendrickson has more sacks over the last three seasons at 39.5 to Reddick's 38, and more over the four seasons at 52.5 to Reddick's 50.5. Hendrickson is also coming off of a 17.5 sack season where as Reddick had 11. If we are talking based on pure production which is what I keep hearing should determine Reddick's high value, Hendrickson has been more the productive guy.

That's what the market will pay now with the increased cap that's why. See Hargrave contract and add on a bit for the cap increase.

You are right they can’t… But with one or two really good picks this defense could really turn a significant corner. If they were to add say a stud corner and a really good DE to this rotation then there’s potential for this defense to be good.

Howie can't let the other teams borrow the spotlight.  Harper 3 HRs. Embiid return and 6ers win.

Simmons signing today.
