Siri said not much would change just Patricia calling the plays instead.

The players have been saying a lot changed & it was tough to adjust that late in the season.

I was going to tag you to ask for a translate

It’s gotten to the point where either decision will piss me off now. Keeping him will piss me off, but doing the right thing and waiting this long to fire him will piss me off. Can’t they just be normal with their coaching process just one Fing time?

"Remember when everyone said Howie was reaching out to potential coordinators on behalf of Nick Sirianni? Yeah, that indeed happened.”

That makes zero sense. That they’d only fire a coach unless one guy was available to them. Florio just throwing crap at the wall.

Not that I trust Florio, but I think it makes sense. Belichick is the best coach of all-time. Him being available to them is a special circumstance.

I’m sure there are some owners that would do just that… Only fire their guy because a certain person was available and interested.

It’s more the "deciding to keep him” that makes no sense than the Belichick part. They either want Sirianni as their coach and decided to keep him or they didn’t. And if they have decided they don’t trust him fully as a coach, there are plenty of really intriguing names out there. They may have had most interest in Belichick, but I think if they want to move on from Sirianni they’re going to regardless.

Give me Texans and Packers

Normal = Not firing a coach who takes the team to the playoffs 3 times in 3 years including Super Bowl.

Can't Eagles Fans not suck just one time?

I like this kid, Ainias Smith. Seems like a punt returner who can run routes and catch. Nothing fancy, but he may be able to add more on offense than Covey currently does.

Would be interesting if both road teams won.  I don’t see it though.  I think the Packers may be peaking at the right time, and Purdy may choke.  I think the Ravens are too solid

It’s saying they both put out feelers. It just never advanced past that point.

These guys fired the DC without firing the DC.  They made no official title change and kept him on the staff.  They want to have their cake and eat it too.

They will conduct the HC search quietly while Siri is still HC.  If they don't find someone that is both controllable and an upgrade, they'll stick with Siri.

If you’re iffy on Sirianni, it makes sense to see if the GOAT would be interested in a ready made offense that desperately needs his expertise on defense.

From the Eagles’ side of things, it could have been as simple as what kind of personnel power do you want and who would be your OC? They might not have liked those answers and decided to hear out Sirianni instead.

Special exemption from the football gods.

which is determined by snaps and targets and carries.

If the Eagles don't give a player snaps, targets, carries, a player can't do much.

You’re not one of us. Go to ravensmessageboard.com and spew your autistic RAShole garbage over there.

A few nuggets from Reubs 10 Observations. First paragraph is all on Howie. Those moves are on him. 2nd is further proof that Blankenship is JAG. 3rd is what many of us have been screaming about all year.

- I count eight linebackers or defensive backs who started at least one game this year who shouldn’t be anywhere near the NovaCare Complex in 2024: James Bradberry, Nicholas Morrow, Kevin Byard, Zach Cunningham, Justin Evans, Shaq Leonard, Bradley Roby and Mario Goodrich. Those eight guys started a combined 58 games this year and played a combined 4,107 snaps. If you factor in guys who are already gone – Terrell Edmunds, Kentavius Street, Derek Barnett, Justin Evans and Christian Ellis, that’s another nine starts and 798 snaps and now you’re up to 67 starts and 4,905 snaps for defensive players the Eagles have already gotten rid of or cannot bring back. That’s like 300 snaps per game. It wasn’t just the defensive coaching staff. The Eagles had some truly lousy players this year. The whole batch has gotta go.

-Eagles missed tackle leaders: Reed Blankenship (11), Zach Cunningham (9), James Bradberry (8), Darius Slay (8), Nicholas Morrow (6), Bradley Roby (6), Haason Reddick (5), Kevin Byard (4), Eli Ricks (4), Josh Sweat (4).

-I feel like as good as D’Andre Swift was this year, he could be so much more in the right offense. It seemed like the offensive coaches either didn’t know how to use Swift or were just unable to craft an offense that really allowed him to flourish the way he’s capable of. He had some big games, but there just wasn’t any creativity in how he was used, and not surprisingly that led to a late-season decline in production. First 11 games – through Buffalo, when the Eagles were 10-1 – he averaged 18 touches per game and was third in the league with 88 scrimmage yards per game. The last six games, he was 30th among RBs with 58 scrimmage yards per game and averaged 14 ½ touches per game. He just wasn’t the same guy. Swift is too talented to drop off like that.

i can only guess that during the losing streak, they didnt have a list of head coaching candidates because they didnt expect this collapse to happen like that even during the tampa game, they probably had hope they were going to turn it around and after that embarrassing game, they probably now have to go out now and get a list together which is probably going to take time because you cant fire a headcoach and then not have an idea who to replace him with like you dont want to replace him with another nick clone.

it was easier to fire doug because they probably had list of head coaching candidates during the season which i do believe they were going to move on from doug during that losing season.

I find it hard to believe Belichick will hitch his wagon to Desmond Ridder or Taylor Heineike in Atlanta.  No way he goes there unless a guy like Kirk Cousins is locked in to come with him.

Head coach searches don't happen quietly within league circles.  If they are putting out feelers to agents, word will spread.  We may not hear about it, but the coaching/agent community will.  They protect their own.

Christian Ellis is the only one they should have kept.
