Steen and Hennessy will compete at RG along with a day 3 rookie.

that's fine,  provided there is no day 1 or 2 swing tackle drafted.   Lane has $18 Million coming through 2026.

Eagles fans can argue about who to draft to eventually replace Lane in the 25, 26, 27 drafts.

A hi ras OT like Tylan Grable on day 3 is good by me. Swing tackle.   Steen would be adequate at RG this year.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I can see a scenario in which he falls to the mid-teens, assuming he's not a Charger/Raider. There's a real path to him falling to 17....

Don't do this to me. I'm hyperventilating already.

I think your tunnel vision on measurables has become comical.

i can teach him to be an average blocker. Dude is a baller and wont shy away. Far easier than teaching a late project to release, read and catch

what he CAN do is be the F that can trap the D in a bad personnel set. Split him out to slot against three backers. Motion him in against nickel. Allows moore to run almost the entire offense from on personnel package, which is hell on a defense

It’s not me that has tunnel vision. You’re looking at an undersized college receiving TE who was a mediocre blocker and saying you can teach him to block at a higher level than he did in college. More likely, his blocking will be WORSE in the NFL going up against bigger, stronger players with a longer reach.

And believe it or not, measurables are important. Size matters when you’re talking about blocking DE’s and LB’s in the NFL.

Bottom line, you can get a TE who actually can block and ALSO be a receiving threat 2-4 rounds later. Or you can get a hybrid TE like Bowers later if that’s what you want. At the end of the day if you’re drafting a TE purely because of his receiving talents, why not take an actual receiver?

Ok.  Let's say they decided to move Landon to center.   That leaves a gaping hole at LG.  So, they would need to have found a LG.    Just like they need to figure out RG now that Jurgens is moving to C.   And if they left Jurgens at RG... then they'd need to find a C.

If you land a stud at one position, having to make a tough choice about whether or not to change that player's position is good problem to have.

Once upon a time, Lane Johnson was drafted to take over at LT for Peters.   Instead, he lined up at RT and has been a stalwart there from Day 1.  They did flip him over to LT for a few games, but very few.   Turns out having the best RT in the NFL is a big time bonus for the team.   Oh well... best laid plans and all that.

True.

The Eagles still have too many bad/terrible CBs.  Maddox was one of the bad/terrible CBs from last year and now he's back.

The Eagles still need to draft in the first,  a good/great CB.

It seems at this point like the plan is "ok, the plan is for the CBs to suck,  let's get CBs that suck" and they're implementing that plan.

What a great contract. 22M/Y is not a lot for an OT of that level.

Bargain.

Mailata’s journey to the NFL is probably the coolest football story I know & it’s really neat that he’s on our team. Huge huge fan of him & glad we’re keeping him around. Great news

Wouldn't be happy with WR in the first 2 rounds

That's unfortunate for their kids.

Didn't realize he was 27. Some reason I thought he was younger

Great job by the Eagles.  He was one of the young offensive core players they were going to need to lock up here in the next year or two.  Gotta wonder if Lane wants a little bump now though.  The better but now lesser paid OT on the team.

Good video. Really cool info on a punter prospect. @just relax youll like hearing him talk about value of nickel CB.

I should have added that I've been making the nickel corner argument for a while now.

But you knew that.

So, thank you again.

Watching these again.  Some really good matchups..  Sweat - Texas is a monster he just folds some dudes up (see 12 seconds in).  Darius Robinson always seemed to have good reps.  Fiske's reps made me a little nervous.  My guy Brandon Coleman looked like trash.  Javion Cohen is another guy who intrigues me but think he spent most of time at LG.

Now get Devonta locked up before the draft & I’ll be happy

Hopefully any WR we do draft is a #3 for a long time

Bc the receiver will be useless blocking and doesnt offer the optionality that will help the run game

Producers may want, but can't see much interest by the Kelces. They don't need the money or the hassle, and of course, Travis isn't going to want the Taylor crap that would inevitably be involved.

Mailata is a great deal, right now he's a very good but not elite LT (pass blocking needs work), but has elite upside.

Taylor may not want the Taylor crap that the showrunners would likely want
