That sucks. I really liked their podcasts. Hopefully him and Kempski figure something out.

They recently started doing YouTube. I wonder if that was a pre-emptive move. I don't see why they couldn't continue that route.

  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Awesome, we can line him up at fullback when Kelce doesn't come out of retirement to do that for us.

Wasn’t that just an upload of their podcast?

If the Eagles go off script and take a LB in Rd 2, who is the best prospect? The mock draft simulators mostly have Cooper from A & M as the highest rated LB in Rd 2 but researching him brings up red flags for his coverage experience and tape. Anyone out there who is a LB specialist, which LB is the right pick at 50 or 53 to have an immediate impact with the highest upside?

If you can see the truth about Cooper, and know who the right guy is not you are smart enough to find out who the right guy is.

Wilson is far and away the best LB in this draft.  If you don't feel comfortable with his injury concerns then you have to decide who you like between Colson, Trotter, Eichenberg, or Gray.

I'd probably take Colson and Trotter over Cooper for true LB skills over an athletic projection like Cooper.

You should watch all of them to see how you would rank them personally.

That sucks, BGN was the most objective place to go for takes. I really don't listen to many sports podcasts. Wonder of Gowton and Kempski will do something independent. I don't see why not, they wouldn't get any less of an audience. Most of their listeners don't really care about SB Nation in general.

Whoa, whoa, whoa whata going on?  Bleeding Green Nation shutting down?  That is awful, that BLG and Kempski pod was by far the beat Eagles podcast.

Yea. But maybe they can use that platform to keep putting it out. RJ Ochoa alluded to doing that for his Cowboys pod (and I assume the NFCE pod he and BLG did together).

Btw, it's going to be another bloodbath when PHLY starts laying off people. There's no way it can last with the amount of money they are paying everyone. They keep hiring people and they generate no views or listens to their stuff. And they recently hired Les Bowen as well in addition to all the other people they're paying 6 figures.

Stock up, develop enough of an audience to matter, pray you get acquired. Rinse and repeat.

So it was awful. Got it

That trade just makes no sense for Houston. A second round pick for a guy you essentially are placating with more money on a one-year deal so he isn’t a complete turd for you? Or he plays well and you keep him entering age 31 on a huge contract with a bunch of guaranteed money.

Yeah i don’t get that. I figured they’d keep him for two years (assuming he wasn’t as bad as he was at the end of last year) and then they’d have a decision at the end of 2025. His contract was also super friendly to the Texans after 2024. It was under 20 mil per year and only $3.5 mil guaranteed

Maybe they can do it without having a Vox producer helping them, then again, they could use the work too, sadly.

That's literally how every contract works

No one passed Aaron Donald. There has been no salary growth at CB at all. It's not a guarantee.

I think BLG will continue doing something.  I feel like Kempski was starting to get checked out on the podcast though.  They were late a lot of times last season and sometimes just flat out skipped podcasts and I feel that was mostly due to Kempski's disinterest in it.

The original BGN Radio lineup was my favorite Eagles podcasting. Radio voice in Barchard, voice of the fan in Seltzer, news-ish guy in BLG. Other podcasts had/have more informative takes, but that one was the most balanced.

Barchard, BLG, and Kempski could work. Hope it happens.

PHLY needs to figure out how to monetize its audience better (superchats) in order to make it work.

Otherwise I'll just support Charlie when it blows up.

That's not going to happen. Barchard and BLG are like Israel and Palestine these days. They absolutely hate each other. Or rather, BLG hates Barchard. He won't work with him or speak to him again.

I'm 100% on board. It would annoy SO many people on here.  The chaos would be fantastic.

That was an awesome pod.

Berman mentioned a while back that he was working on a book but didn’t say exactly what it was about. Did he ever say?

How is that even possible?

This is a pre-order that releases 9/24/24. Guessing it’s this.

I can of get cutting down on some pods/podcasters/producers, but I thought podcasts were doing very well.  Did Harry’s and Manscaping cut their advertising budget?

Thanks. That’s underwhelming.

Watching these again.  Some really good matchups..  Sweat - Texas is a monster he just folds some dudes up (see 12 seconds in).  Darius Robinson always seemed to have good reps.  Fiske's reps made me a little nervous.  My guy Brandon Coleman looked like trash.  Javion Cohen is another guy who intrigues me but think he spent most of time at LG.

Coleman had the best rep of anybody against Sweat. The other reps, not so much. This one-on-one stuff is all in favor of the DL.
