  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

I can of get cutting down on some pods/podcasters/producers, but I thought podcasts were doing very well.  Did Harry’s and Manscaping cut their advertising budget?

I think it's just a part of Vox media layoffs. They don't want to pay these people because Vox is going into the toilet. I'm sad for the people who have lost their jobs, but Vox is an awful company that it's no wonder they're losing money and can't afford to pay people anymore.

Sounds like SB Nation axed all their podcasts so BGN is basically no more for podcasts

That's bad news.  I also liked the NFC East Mix tape podcast during the season.  I hope they get something else set up soon.

Yup. I didn't like all the podcasts they had but I did like that each one was unique in it's own way and offered diversity and had something for basically everyone.

Yep the NFC East Mixtape and the BLG/Kempski podcast were the two that I listened to.  There really isn't an Eagles podcast left that I enjoy.  The Philly Special can be good from time to time because of Sheil but Cliff the producer is just terrible and they feel they need to shoe-horn him on every time I listen Solak is just annoying with his unearned smugness.

The original BGN Radio lineup was my favorite Eagles podcasting. Radio voice in Barchard, voice of the fan in Seltzer, news-ish guy in BLG. Other podcasts had/have more informative takes, but that one was the most balanced.

Barchard, BLG, and Kempski could work. Hope it happens.

Yeah that was a good one.  Then Barchaed and Seltzer backstabbed BLG for WIP and basically ripped the pod and took ot there.

He must be really bad in the locker room.  Probably why the Texans are just using him this year on a ‘prove-it’.  I mean we all knew he was a head case, but it’s probably worse than the public knew

This discussion on CFB being different than the NFL is fun to listen to. Then I skipped to the Penix discussion, and the discussion on other QBs in this class. But if anyone else is interested im sure the whole thing is pretty good.

Apparently Kollman thinks he is holding his beer and tries to take a sip out of his microphone at 36:10.

Wonder which game he was watching. Not being able to hit his receivers down the field against TB, getting owned by TB or fumbling the ball off his leg in the SB

You are poor, dim witted and "slow.”

Happy I could help with that.

Spoiler

Took me this long to think of this response proving the point that I’m slow. 😩

Relevant to the Bowers discussion, there is a segment in this video.

Boils down to- generational TE? No. Generational H-Back. Yes.

Very interesting stat on Mason McCormick's shuttle time. Major predictor of success for a guard. Also, he called protections for his OL despite playing G, not C.

Heel Rock is the best Rock. I don't watch wrestling anymore but I have been watching his promos on Twitter and Instagram and dude's still got it. He keeps in character on Instagram too which is weird cause he occasionally also slips in one of his wholesome business promotion posts lol

Similar to Patrick Peterson. He will be a good enough CB to never find out how good of a safety he could have been.

Hate that comparison…i think PP was highly overrated.

Are void years that add up to just over $1M really necessary?

PP had stiff hips and turned in to a milti-pro bowl CB in spite of it. And played a long career at CB playing well in to his 30s never having to change positions. At the end of his career, I find it hart to say itys about those hips! His career for a 1st round pick is more than adequate.

Oh no

That list is bad

Since Howie moved from picking Alabama players to Georgia, can we assume this draft he begins drafting Michigan guys?

Cross country travel has been impossible the last few days, even if flying private.  But if he wanted to watch bad tape of Hurts from 2024, that would probably delay him too.

I posted this in the Maddox thread, but Howie signed Maddox so he wouldn’t have to force anything in the draft.

You don’t want to pick a less talented corner over a more talented one in round 1 simply because you think he plugs better into the slot as a rookie.

This is all about draft flexibility, not delusions about Maddox.
