You think that would quench your thirst for a better secondary?

I don’t love them. I also don’t hate them. I do like blue and yellow combo together. That said i do wish they’d have tied the city connect back to the first title team in the 1980 championship team. Did something like a maroon pinstripe with the current Phillies logo that’s on the front of their normal jerseys. But changed the Phillies logo from red to powder blue.

Everyone should just be thankful the Phillies aren't connecting with San Diego.

Per Brugler, Jermaine Burton was on the $hitlist at on the coaching staffs at Georgia and Alabama. He played at six schools on eight years including HS.

That has to be why there isn’t more buzz on him. He’s super talented.

My son watches religiously, and I occasionally join him. When the Rock came back a month or two ago, it's become way more entertaining. He's a fantastic heel.

Seems like a cool dude. I'm taking my son to both nights of WM and Raw on Monday at the WF Center. Should be a blast.

The thing is, they talk about using the colors of the Philadelphia flag but couldn't help themselves in some lame ass story telling to incorporate deep navy blue/black in to the uniform. As soon as I saw the leak with the fade, I knew it was just to give them dark pants. Nike is so damn predictable. The main uniform is navy blue with the actual colors of the flag being on the shoulders and used as accents, but as Nike puts it "the light to dark celebrates our spirit of revolution; a city unafraid to rise up and fight". I think I threw up just quoting that.

IMO, maroon is one of the most underutilized colors in sports and the Phillies looked damn good when they wore it. The fan mock up below would have been a homerun. Even royal blue head-to-toe or the Sixerseque uniform would have been better.

Eskin said keep an eye on the Eagles trading up. He's been pretty money this offseason.

Shouldn't be a big surprise though, the Eagles trade up a lot. Ever since the Eagles got burned in 2014 by not moving up and getting screwed out of guys they wanted, they don't leave it up to chance. If there's a guy they really covet, they'll move up.

Yes I think he has had blowouts with players on the field.  Add someone put it,  his off the field issues are on the field.

I wish those were the city connects, those are great.

I don't love the maroon, it's just an odd color.  Maroon and yellow feels like I am looking at an Arizona State uniform.   The other city connect concept is good, too, but feels too close to the regular uniform.

I pretty much consistently hate all of the city connects, though.  Maybe I'm a grumpy old man?

Jackson will be 25 before his rookie season starts. Yikes.

Wow.

That's pretty old.

At the same time,  it seems like almost everyone this year is a 5th year senior.  Hard to find many young prospects. Juniors or even true seniors are pretty rare.

I'm dreaming here, but I wonder if Marvin Harrison Jr. might drop a bit. Malik Nabers is making a push to be WR1 in this draft, especially with Harrison not working out at all for teams. He's probably still a top 6 pick but the draft is full of curveballs. No one saw the Lions going for Gibbs and even though he had a less than ideal rookie year, no one saw Nolan Smith dropping to 30. Strange things can happen.

Saquon is basically a question of health. If he’s healthy I think he’s a huge upgrade. It’s going to be huge to have a home run threat at RB who is a good receiver but also has the ability to slash inside. I’m expecting the eagles to give him a LOT of touches. Say good bye to RBBC.

Huff for Reddick, probably a small downgrade overall next season but an upgrade over the next 3 years,

CJGJ is a major upgrade. It’s not like our DBs weren’t missing plays.

I also like the OG from Atlanta, Hennessy, who we signed. Solid starter and a great backup if he loses a camp battle.

I’d also remind everyone that we get Isaiah Rodgers back from suspension. Great move by Howie to pick him up — he could be a big addition.

Saquon - Mostly I agree but he is starting to slow down and RBs can slow down very quickly.

We shall see how the rest pans out.

I think if they trade up, it will be for one of:

Mims, Fashanu, Fautanu, Mitchell, Arnold, Turner.

If one of those guys falls into the 15-19 range, I think they'll move up and grab one.

How many Howie's?  Used those 2nd rounders to move on up.

Newton is one of my guys. I don't know if he fits what Vic wants, but I think he's going to be a good one.

Breaking News:

Trey Turner is the first player to wear a ? instead of a uniform number.

Jared Verse makes so much sense, would be able to develop for a year and we can get our compensatory pick for sweat. Setting us up for Verse, Huff, Smith, Carter, Davis.

The font is too large and ugly.  I don't care what they say it does not look historical. It looks like it's lifted from an affliction shirt.  The blue does not match the city flag.  The blue fading into black looks terrible.

Yeah I mentioned a few weeks ago of all the games I watched this year (not saying I watched a ton of Illinois games) but he had the best performance of anyone I watched and absolutely was destroying the PSU line.

I'm pretty old, and I think Colorado and Seattle did a good job.  Some are really bad.  The Mariners might have swiped the proper blue and yellow tone while the Phillies were sleeping.
