  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Incredible

This is why I think more and more Howie will go OT in round 1.

It's one of those positions he loses sleep at night thinking about. Howie never leaves OL up to chance.

I think having two book end OTs for the last decade+ is a luxury Howie isn't going to want to lose and will view this draft as a rare opportunity to be a good team picking low and still having the opportunity to come away with a premier tackle prospect.

I think Howie will be tempted to go CB if Mitchell or Arnold fall, but I think his fear of Lane retiring and them not having found a viable replacement by then will win out in the end.

its like the most obvious thing ever.

Sure,  Mailata might leave, right?   Haven't heard much about Mailata recently,  he might be leaving.   Lane is making $18 Million a year in 24, 25, 26.

But Mims,  with 1 year actually playing in college,  at RT,  can play RG,  right?   No evidence of that.   And 6'7 Guards are common?  No they aren't.  I think 6'7 350 pound RG sounds good to me, but there might be a reason other teams don't do that.

Sounds like the article mixed up grams and ounces. Ounces would be a felony and grams a misdemeanor.

Time for everyone to just adopt the SI units.  Would save so much confusion (at least on somethings).

Howie is not going to just sit by and watch another team sign a Simmons without going out and signing himself a Simmons too.

This is probably really the day it happens.

Ps. I would have been pretty happy about that Simmons too, at this point. I still think there's potential in there somewhere.  And he does make a bunch of splash plays. Someone needs to find how to get consistency out of him.

It has to be trolling right? Right?? Right?????

Seems bad.

The Chiefs should cut him for the shear stupidity of leaving the drugs in the car.

So he had 10.8 ounces in the car? Damn  Sounds like a party

No, I think he had 10.8 grams.

Just realized Fautanu will be 24 early in the season.  Guyton will turn 23 in June.  Latham, Fuaga, and Mims are only 21.

Different guy.

Love that Corley breaks a ton of tackles and gets YAC, but I wonder how long before nagging injuries start piling up with that style.

Oh,  so,  there isn't any reason at all for people to want to spend big on a OT.

What I said about Mailata was a joke btw.

NIL money is keeping kids in school longer before declaring. I'm interested in how this plays out in the drafts over the next few years. May be rare to see a 21 year old drafted anymore.

He's not that fast.  I'd believe a 4.5

If we draft a guy like Mims who wouldn't start this year but conceivably is ready next year,  anyone think Lane would possibly slide in to guard for a year or 2? That's sometimes a career lengthening move.

He's had the ankle problem and the sports hernia.  In ay guard suddenly he doesn't need to make those big explosive kick slides anymore.  Could help.

If one of them falls make the pick. Otherwise, get the OT.

There is almost nothing but old prospects this year. Lots of 5th year guys.

But there are even a handful of 6th year guys as well. Not one which is typically an oddity. There are a bunch.

It was a covid year creating a lot of 5th years.  Add in redshirt for injury,  or transfers with the covid year,  now youre at 6th year.

Is JC Latham going to test at all?  Starting to think he might be the target due to age, Alabama, and has played RG and RT.   Was also a top 5 recruit coming out of high school

OT is absolutely on the table in Round 1 if Howie can move up a bit.  The RT of the future and we always invest heavily in our OL.
