Tell that to Sydney Jones.  He couldn’t add to his 180 pounds to save his soul. I have sworn off too skinny CBs.

Sydney Jones had no instincts and couldn't cover.  Wiggins can cover.

Tough to see Cox retire. I’m curious how fondly people will remember him. He was easily our most dominant player for years & a massive part of the Super Bowl win but never reached that level of love that I feel Kelce gets or even Lane & BG. Either way, absolute legend that will be 100% be missed. Good to hear he’s still willing to help out the young guys on the DL

I don't think he gets the respect both locally and nationally that he deserves. Part of that is he has always been a somewhat quiet leader on the team, but you saw the emotion from Davis after the season because he knew Cox was gone. Nationally, he had the misfortune of playing in the same era as Aaron Donald. He's a 4x all pro (one 1st team, 3 2nd team), 6 time pro bowler, member of the 2010s all decade team and a Super Bowl champion...but he rarely gets mentioned among hall of fame contenders. If I were a voter, he'd get my vote for sure.

He's much more reserved personality wise than Kelce and BG so just doesn't get that attention those guys do. I think he'll be remembered pretty fondly though. He reminds me of like a Trent Cole. You may not initially think of him off the top of your head when naming Eagles greats but when you start thinking about it positionally, you have to mention him.

I’ve said it for years too that Cox would have likely been considered the best DT in league if it wasn’t for Aaron Donald. For a long time it was Donald/Cox/Atkins in that top 3 & then it became Jones instead of Atkins, Cox stayed consistent enough to be dominant for that long also. It’s a shame he retired same offseason as Donald just because that probably kills his chances of being a first ballot, it’s not impossible but he might have to wait a few years after. Though it would be REALLY cool to see Kelce & Cox both get in the same year. I still think Cox is a HOF level player.

Is he serious about the flat earth. He thinks that buildings would be upside down in Austrialia if the Earth was round and sattelites took a picture from space?

You dumb sheet, why wouldn't they be in respect to our location.

Oh right, you've never given it any thought.....you globers never think.

SB Nation seems like a great place to work.

You haven't told me how many fingers I am holding up so your response is invalid.

Gonna miss BLG when he leaves BGN. Place fell apart when he left last time.

Fletch was the best player on our team for a long time. He was never as flashy as Kelce, but there could be an argument that he was better than him talent-wise. I don't want to start this argument, I'm just trying to put into perspective how big of a player he's been for us.

All-time Eagles legend for sure.

I hope Braden Rice is drafted by the Eagles just to see Niners and their fans melt down when Jerry Rice shows up to Eagles games with an Eagles jersey on.

Daniel Jeremiah said he talked to GMs over the weekend and he likes to take notice of who they ask about, especially when they ask about where they’re gonna be drafted. He said the most popular guy they wanted to know about was Graham Barton. He also thinks the DTs are going to go higher than expected, particularly Murphy and Newton.

Unpopular opinion but I do really like those two DT's. I'd have no qualms there if they pull that card.

Was thinking that was the reason he cancelled visit.  Jerry getting in his ear

Cox also played long enough that his play started to slip. Fans always have some degree of recency bias when it comes to players. Jason Peters is the extreme example there.

Bottom line is Cox was a great player for a long time and a huge part of the locker room. He'll be missed.

That clip of BG just yapping non-stop and Fletch yelling at him is too funny. Like a big brother yelling at his annoying little brother.

Howie said something to this effect an offseason or two ago.

Basically they scout for OL with the mindset and physical gifts to excel and then leave the rest to Stoutland, because they are confident a coachable player with athleticism will fulfill their potential under Stoutland.

Except for Dillard

TEW mentioned mindset. Turns out Dillard didn’t have it.

He was reduced to tears in training camp. Not a great mindset I guess.

Anyone notice how he did with Tennessee this past year? Can’t say I watched him.

They signed him to big money, benched him and then cut him. So I'd say not great.

He allowed the most sack in the NFL and only played about half the season. He did great

Peters fell off pretty badly

Cox had a couple games where he was getting doubled in his last year
