  • For those that know me here I wanted to pass on the good news. I will be retiring from fulltime work in October of this year. Looking forward to not working 10 hour days anymore.

Ok I love the Barkley deal

Right now I'm leaning trade up for Mims or Arnold. I think ultimately Mims' age will win out over Fautanu and the Eagles will view him as having higher upside.

I previously made the case of why OT makes the most sense for the Eagles, but admittedly, the Eagles complete and utter lack of activity at outside corner still has my gut thinking CB might be the play. I can't see them being comfortable just handing over the reins of starting CB if Bradberry looks awful in camp to Rodgers who hasn't played in over a year or Ringo who has very little experience in a season where SB is the goal.

And everyone is kinda thinking OT is going to be the pick now, it almost seems too obvious. I'd be surprised if it isn't one or the other though. I really don't think it's going to be edge rusher.

Ross Tucker said he doesn't think the Eagles will take an OL in round 1 if they don't have guard versatility. I strongly disagree with that.

If the Eagles had to choose with an OT they evaluate as "We feel this guy is a stud and the next Lane Johnson" but can't play guard or a guy they evaluate as "We don't feel as strongly with him being a stud OT, but he can play guard" I think they would take the first guy 10 times out of 10.

I hate versatility being a factor in any 1st round pick.  If they happen to be versatile, great.  But every first round pick needs a plan.  They need to project to a position and project well.

Versatility matters later in the draft when you throw crap against the wall to see what sticks...and when you are projecting players as depth that needs versatility.

What you're describing are usually top 10 picks. It's not a positional issue, but a draft slot issue.

There are plenty of players in the NFL who are not top 10 picks who would have a 1st round value assigned to their 22 year old selves with a crystal ball.  It's a long list.  The whole point is to see the positional trends.

A second and unrelated question would be to see where those aforementioned players were actually drafted.

I hate it even more on defense, because I do think OL versatility has a lot of value, just not as much as a guy who is a stud at one position. But defensively, I'm not big on moving guys around. CJGJ is maybe one exception, but even then I want him to be almost full time at one position and not mixing around all over. I hated what they did with Bradberry last season moving him around. Isaiah Simmons I remember during the draft, pundits said "It doesn't matter what position he plays, he's a football player." Turns out, it did. The dude isn't anything. He can't play LB, he can't play safety. You need to have a position in this league. We also saw this with Laviska Shenault. Dude was a RB/WR/Athlete. Is a very mediocre NFL player. The more versatile you are, the less good you are. If you are truly great, they'll lock you into one position eventually.

Trade for a CB may be on the table. Or a DE. If SB this year is the goal relying on a rookie CB to take us to the promised land really sucks. An unproven rookie could be just as bad as Bradberry or hit a wall late in the season when needed most. Howie ignored the position too long unfortunately. Wouldn't mind a first round CB though but not under the context of going for it this year but building for post Slay.

Maybe....just maybe don't start a game at 9:20 ET on a Monday night. Shoot, even when it's the CFB Natty, that's going to be a struggle to watch at that time.

That timing was dumb. I don’t believe any nationally televised championship games start that late. A lot of the east coast checked out.

I don't even know who was in the Men's championship game lol. I tuned in to watch Philly's own Staley vs Clark. Women's basketball ball is doing a great job of marketing. I need them to at least start using the same Men's basketball as 12 year old boys

Catering to the left coast appears to have it’s consequences.

Caitlin Clark was the story this year and NCAA WBB has benefited so much from her (despite an enormous crowd trying to bring her down). I don't think it's going to be a sustainable viewership though. People tuned in to watch Clark on her own and then Clark vs. LSU and lastly, Clark in the Natty. Star power helps.

Ya... I know a hand full of ladies players. On the Men's side... Bronny and DJ Wagner. That's it lol. Extreme casual. But back to my later point. Come on man why is this little guy expected to play with a 7 basketball in celebrity basketball games and this giant of a woman uses a 6 lol

Just saw something really odd. I was sitting on the beach and the Gulf of Mexico started eating the sun, all the way until it was completely gone.

Craziest thing I’ve seen in 30 years.

The question is how high do they need to trade up, maybe ahead of Seattle?

Couple of questions, when the the Moon is in its half-moon phase, is the other half there?  If so, has there been any sort of instrument that can detect it?  When the half-moon phase can be seen during daylight (both the Sun and Moon are in the sky), where's the other half of the Moon and why can't we see if the Sun is illuminating it?

During the conjunction (when there's no Moon visible every month), is it there, has anyone been able to detect it during conjunction.  BTW, the eclipse occurs during conjunction, just prior to the New Moon (that first sliver of the Moon during its waxing phase)  Here's the really strange thing, during the eclipse both the Moon and the Sun are in the sky but the Moon is never seen approaching the Sun until we see the Sun beginning to turn black.

Point being, those two bodies of light are mysterious and it's OK to admit that we have no idea what's going on.

Let me help you.   When half the moon is visible, its because that's the part that the sun is shining on.  The rest IS THERE, but you can't see it because it isn't lit up by the sun.

Try this one on for yourself.  Go into the bathroom... and look in the mirror.   Is the back of your head there?   You can't see it, it must be missing.   Then turn off the light.  Did your face disappear?

The more you post, the more you show your complete lack of education.   Please stop.

Depends how far you want to trade up.  If JC Latham is on the board at #13, he’s got to be the play if you can trade #22 and 53 to get it done.  Latham has the ability to play RG/RT

I know I’m on ignore because I used to point out your stupidity on a regular basis, but the Hubble telescope is not in use to debunk flat earth BS. Further more, you’re not making the point you think you’re making seeing as how neither the Hubble nor the James Webb Telescopes ever take pics of buildings or airplanes anywhere else, so pointing out that it doesn’t take pics of buildings or planes in Australia is a moot point.

Its a moo point.

Position versatility, athletic, etc. He's a typical Stoutland type of OL.
