Are there white walkers on the other side?

Yes, that's what the chemtrails are for; they're turning us into whitewalkers.

Thanks.

Yep. Behind a paywall.

Right ok. Not sure how I got behind their paywall, but it's exactly the sort of thing I've not been able to find this year.

Right now I'm leaning trade up for Mims or Arnold. I think ultimately Mims' age will win out over Fautanu and the Eagles will view him as having higher upside.

I previously made the case of why OT makes the most sense for the Eagles, but admittedly, the Eagles complete and utter lack of activity at outside corner still has my gut thinking CB might be the play. I can't see them being comfortable just handing over the reins of starting CB if Bradberry looks awful in camp to Rodgers who hasn't played in over a year or Ringo who has very little experience in a season where SB is the goal.

And everyone is kinda thinking OT is going to be the pick now, it almost seems too obvious. I'd be surprised if it isn't one or the other though. I really don't think it's going to be edge rusher.

They haven't looked at Mims, according to this resource:

OT Kiran Amegadjie (Yale) -- Indy Combine (formal)
OT Troy Fautanu (Washington) -- Official Visit
OT Garret Greenfield (South Dakota State) -- T.J. Paganetti put him through drills at South Dakota State's Pro Day
OT Tyler Guyton (Oklahoma) -- Senior Bowl, Official Visit
OT Michael Jerrell (Findlay) -- Hula Bowl

OT Jordan Morgan (Arizona) -- Indy Combine (formal)
OT Patrick Paul (Houston) -- Senior Bowl (formal)

OT Roger Rosengarten (Washington) -- Indy Combine (formal), Official Visit

Looking at the visits, I would guess Fautanu and Guyton are the first round targets at OT.  Either could be a trade up candidate for them.  Fautanu is the player that has more versatility to move inside.  Guyton has more upside and is younger.

At CB, I would hope they like Mitchell, DeJean or Wiggins over Arnorld.  To me, Arnold doesn't seem as fluid of an athlete.

Nothing like two of the best fan bases in the NFL losing a game to Brazil. I know technically, the Eagles aren't losing a home game because they have 8 home games and 8 away games, but they are still losing a home game.

If the NFL wants to continually push going international, they should take games from teams with low attendance numbers or amount of away team tickets sold at their home games. If LA fans don't want to support the Chargers, make them lose a home game.

I prefer 3 wr sets and famously despite 12 personnel.  I’m also on board for investing and getting a high end 3rd wr and agree with your target rationale (although I’m intrigued by Parris Campbell).

Not to rile everyone up with a separate issue, but your target volume logic leaves out one factor….Jalen Hurts.

He still hasn’t really proven to be a reliable high volume passer.  He seems to have quite a few of those 20 pass attempt for 130 yards with lots of tush pushes, rushing yards, yards from backs (soon to be Barkley).  I don’t know that big targets to 3 WRs is something he’s going to be doing a lot or doing that well.

What's a high volume passer? Quick mental maths, Hurts last year with 538 attempts was less than 3 attempts a game less than Josh Allen 579. Sam Hartman led the league in attempts with 612, which is around 3.5 ish

That said our offense was way more efficient in '22 when we passed it less and kept defenses guessing rather than running the same 3 or 4 plays in rotation, but even then it's a strange argument to make that a 3rd top end receiving option wouldn't improve it.

Sending popular teams, instead of say the Panthers, is how you grow the game.

Who has the Jonah Elliss and Jeremiah Trotter workout numbers?

Elliss was yesterday.  Trotter was today.

I get that, but If the NFL is as popular as they say, and international fans are as football hungry as we're led to believe, they should be happy with any NFL team visiting. When you watch a game in Europe, the fans have jerseys from every team across the league on in the stands. I don't think it matters who plays. The NFL experience is what matters.

When are you travelling to Denver this year to watch them take on the Panthers?

There's a reason why European soccer leagues that send teams to the US include Liverpool, Man U, Barcelona, etc. They're not sending Sheffield United.

One more thing, the Eagles hosting Green Bay in Philly could have HUGE implications for the playoff seedings. Shouldn't we want that game in Philly with OUR homefield advantage?

Definitely. I hate the idea of international games, but if they’re going to be played, they should be out of conference games for that reason.

Just as a heads up, it will download the PDF just in case if you're on a work computer and these things matter for you.

After you download it, open it and print as PDF to strip the PW.  Because I'm not remembering that

Man, the guy spends all year working on this thing and you gave it away for free. That’s lame.

The games started as a communal experience vs a home/away team vibe to get as many bums on seats as they could - NFLUK had no empirical data about who supported who.  While the Jag are a UK allocated team, it's still the same vibe.  I know some people who have gone to every UK game, but haven't been able to get to the US to go to a game.

I do agree that a game with playoff implications should not be taken abroad like that.  It's why the Steelers game made a whole lot of sense.

Meh. It's Week 1. Plenty of games after that will more than likely matter more.

I think there’s a good chance Mims and/or Guyton will still be on the board at #22; it just depends how the Eagles rank the OL players.  I think both look good, but my opinion means nothing.  Picking a player who can be great by using picks #22 and 53 > picking a good player just sticking at 22, IMO.

Other than Alt there isn't a tackle worth moving up for, I don't think Fuaga is worth multiple picks and likely ends up at Guard anyway, if Fautanu made it to 22 I could see them going for him, but Fashanu, Mims, Barton, Guyton and Latham are all guys being drafted for physical traits and all need work on Tackle technique in the pros and a year at Guard is only partly helpful there.
