My two cents on Cooper DeJean...

The Fangio defense features the same pre-snap presentation followed by a lot of post-snap rotation in the secondary.  A versatile DB, like DeJean, would be a weapon in such a scheme.  Safeties like CJGJ, DeJean, possibly Brown, who can play deep and cover the slot, would allow for all kinds of coverage variations that could be used to confuse the QB.  And this doesn't preclude him of just being the best outside CB on the team and following the #1 WR.

I still believe they will go OL in round 1, even trading up to do so.  But DeJean would, IMO, be a solid pick at 22.

The games started as a communal experience vs a home/away team vibe to get as many bums on seats as they could - NFLUK had no empirical data about who supported who.  While the Jag are a UK allocated team, it's still the same vibe.  I know some people who have gone to every UK game, but haven't been able to get to the US to go to a game.

I do agree that a game with playoff implications should not be taken abroad like that.  It's why the Steelers game made a whole lot of sense.

The other aspect of the UK games is that the way the tickets were sold is that priority is given to people who order tickets to all the games, then they allocate tickets to people wanting individual games. So you would get people buying tickets to all the games to make sure they got one for the team they actually support.

Agreed on all points.

The Eagles are making efforts behind the scenes to get something done with 25-year-old Smith. Contract talks are ongoing, sources familiar with negotiations said, and there's general optimism that a deal will materialize in the near future.

Will be more than 20m$ AAV but shouldn’t be higher than AJ’s

I agree with what you've written on DeJean and depressingly I am starting to get the impression that you're right about what the pick will be, but I still reserve the right to be pissed if Howie trades up for a OT.

He'll have a big market and he isn't going to be cheap, I wonder if there'll be a bit of a stand off with him Chase and Waddle all waiting for one of the others to sign an extension. The Eagles need to negotiate with him as WR1a and not WR2

Pittman Jr makes more than $23M. Ridley makes $23M. Smith should be asking for more than $25M

Brown definitely can't cover the slot. We've witnessed that lol.

I feel like he slots in around $24M AAV range.  Metcalf and McLaurin are similar, although they signed a year or two ago.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll repeat it.  I would want no part of him.  I can’t see the value of trading the draft capital it would require to get him, and then the ridiculous contract.  Yeah he’s great, but not great enough…and he’s a distraction.  No thanks

This years first, a 3rd next, and N. Smith for the best young pass rusher in the league? Done.

Cowboys won't do that. Parson's has no leverage to force himself out.

Disagree strongly on this part.  I'd want no part of DeJean matched up on a WR1, especially on the outside.  He's a nickel or a safety.  He'd get burnt regularly by a speed WR1.

For sure. That's why I'd take it in a heartbeat. He's going to have to go the Brett Favre route and get traded then leave in FA to get to Philly if that's where he wants to be.

Yeah they both signed in '22, I think negotiations start at $75M with $60M guaranteed over 3 years

Jonah Elliss should probably be grouped with the LBs,  not the DEs.   243 is small for DE,  but is proper for LBs.   ILB,  OLB.

The 3 cone is very good.

The Eagles have a lot of edge/lb players in the 230-250 range.

And,  yup,  as a LB,  he has a RAS of 9.96

Jonah Ellis = Jordan Willis.

He should perhaps just keep walking until he falls off the edge,

Another one falls for the edge brainwash, you should ask the brainwashers how much they'd charge to return your brain.

Let me help you.   When half the moon is visible, its because that's the part that the sun is shining on.  The rest IS THERE, but you can't see it because it isn't lit up by the sun.

So what about when the Sun and the Moon are in the sky during the day, when the Moon is in its halfi-moon phase, how do you explain not seeing the other half?

Can you guys take that to cvon?

Why are you asking these questions on an Eagles message board? There are virtually limitless supply of resources you can easily find online with a simple Google that answers your questions. You have to seriously intentionally bury your head in the sand to not find the answer to these questions.

using paco's diagram, that's these two times, even in the day there are shadows and over the distance it will make it look like half isn't there, it's not a hard concept.

here's how it looks from a telescope during a crescent during the day:
